UPDATE: I was able to clean up this doll and am happy with the results, plus I checked the listing on eBay and even though it does say NIB, it's possible that the seller got this doll from some other place like a flea market and didn't realize she had been opened. Regardless, I got an exceptional deal on the price for this doll so I will not be complaining. Also, though her head is a little wobbly, it does not seem to be in danger of coming off.
As for my camera, Amazon is processing a return for me for the camera and the protection plan I paid for it, so I will be able to replace it and should have a new camera by the end of this month.

Phenolphthalein which is on the hair is a Ph indicator. So what you are doing is spraying on a basic solution which turns the phenol pink. As a fun side not, red cabbage can do this same thing and turns pink or bluish depending on if you add acid or a base to its juice. Same reason hydrangeas are different colors, the soil acidity.

Yes, I eventually want to try to give pink hair back to my dolls. I have to find a way to purchase the correct chemicals needed to make the solution, but eventually I would like to do this.

Even though she is cute and everything but this shouldn't have happened, I really don't like when sellers don't be straight forward to the buyers :( so sorry for you hope you can contact to the seller and they can respond.
I agree. It's possible that the seller got this doll from some other place and didn't realize it had been opened because it was packaged nicely. Either way, I'm not going to complain because when I checked eBay to look at the listing I realized how good of a deal I got on her, and I paid less than whati would for out of the box versions of this doll.

I’m a Barbie doll collector as well Mostly Gold and Platinum Label dolls, as well as the 90s Play line dolls because I had them growing up, they are truly the best made ones, and your collection is wonderful 💖 I have a question where did you find the ingredients/recipe for the home made magic hair spray? I have looked several places online but I’m having no luck. I do have Hollywood hair Barbie and (Teresa which is one of my favorite dolls ever, you have to get her and yes she is pricey in eBay but well worth it! She’s definitely a must have out of the 3) I’m thinking of getting skipper now after watching your video 💕💖. Keep up the wonderful work looking forward to more videos!
Thank you so much. I just did some online research through Google. I searched for "how to make Hollywood hair Barbie magic hair mist" and I found an article that talks about chemistry with toys. It's a document that goes over multiple different toys from the 90s, and Hollywood hair Barbie was one of the last ones in the document. I talked about it in my Hollywood hair Barbie video, and I believe I have the information linked in the bio for that video.

Interesting. I'm the exact opposite. I like the older Ken dolls. I think they're great looking! I hate the newer Kens, especially the dark skin ones. I think they're hideous! Two exceptions: The Wheelchair Ken face sculpt, and the Barbie Looks #9 Cam face sculpt.
I love extremely long hair too, especially on my male dolls!! I've got a truck-load of re-roots planned.

Honestly, I got such a good deal on this doll that I'm not really going to complain. If I was to get this doll out of box right now I'd pay more than what I paid for her in box, and the doll would be in worse shape. Also, after I filmed this video I was able to clean up the doll pretty well and her head is still on pretty good, it's just a little wobbly.
Also, Amazon took care of me for the camera, so I'm able to return the broken one and I should be getting a new one within the next week and a half. 😊
Do you keep every doll you buy? Or do you resell ?
As of right now, I probably have about 97% of all the dolls I've purchased. I've donated a lot of the basic Barbies that I switched heads with a need to move doll, and there were a couple individual dolls that I ended up giving to one of my nieces after doing a review and deciding that it wasn't for me and my collection, but I still have almost every single doll that I've shown in a video.
I have recently been going through my collection and trying to slim down my collection a bit just because of space reasons, so I have some dolls that I may end up selling eventually. Not sure I haven't decided yet.
