- Original solo piano arrangement of the Miles Davis track So What. It is the opening track from the 1959 album Kind Of Blue (a vinyl copy of which sits on the music stand) and is in the key of D minor (alternating between D modal scales and E flat modal scales). I have included Bill Evans’s piano intro (written by the arranger Gil Evans) and tried to incorporate elements of solos by Davis, Evans, John Coltrane and Cannonball Adderley over a walking left-hand bassline based on the one played on the record by Paul Chambers.
Best one yet!!! Finally, someone who plays the intro as well!
Doubling the bassline for solo playing was a great idea! Love it.
I love your left hand walking bass style .... very cool.....
Very nice job!! Any way to get a sheet?
Wow!.....nice rendition....thank you!.....my pastor friend wants me to record this on solo piano for his church service.....I'm going to give it a shot.....I am not as proficient as you are, but you've given me some idea of how to approach it.....I may slow the tempo down a bit though and do a more bluesy version....lol.....
Absolutely awesome mate...piano needs a tune up lol
Genial amigo
Podrías hacer un tutorial de como tocarla
Comme ça c'est facile, en alternant 8 mesures de dm et 8 mesures de Ebm il ne risque pas de se perdre dans la grille.....
