The vintage races at montery are pretty good. But it would be really cool to see an entire series like this. Unfortunately, I think most of the cars that would be eligible are worth too much to their owners to take racing.
Excellent, exciting and meaningful racing. You can actually recognize the cars, we have to do something like this in the states. Thanks, for the post, TED
I reckon TCM should replace the Supercars as the main Bathurst race. V8 Supercars just don't hold the magic anymore. 1000km in these would be awesome. But then, I'm old enough to remember the production races of years gone by.
my street daily driver in lat 80s was 74 slr 5000 with phil jack 327 chev munci 4 speed ,9" rear end ,2.78 diff gears ,thing would pull 145kph in second gear ,burn rubber in 3th gear , fucking weapon on the street 280kph top speed , no ford could touch it on the streets
I sold it 1996 after pulling engine box and 9inch out and put the original 253 v8 back in it for a young fellas first car i never had it engineered , so had to covert it back to sell it , i had a E38 charger big tank after that ,
Obviously copyright problems have to be taken into account, but I really do hope there is someone out there who can fill in the gaps in the TCM series between Bathurst 2017 Race 3 and Newcastle 2019. Is there a way these can be put up on RUclips at some point, would love to watch 2017, 18 & 19 all the way through to the end before TCM 2020 gets underway. Anyone else agree?
This is basically what American Trans Am racing would look like if it still existed in the US. Love the fact that there are only 7 laps. Every lap is meaningful and there is non-stop action.
The VF Valliant, 225 slant six and a 3 speed box. What an underrated car they were. I've lost count how many bets I won back in the day against the other two and their v8's over the quarter and top speed. All stock standard.
It is Mount Panorama, located just outside of Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia. It is normally a public road with numerous houses located both inside and outside the track. Several times a year, the 60 km/hr speed limit signs come down for some serious motor racing action. Some track statistics; length 6.213 km long, with mountain Straight (uphill) being just over 1.1 km long and Conrod Straight (downhill) just under 2 km long. The steepest grade is 1in 6.13, and the circuit rises and falls 174metres from the lowest point, to the highest and back again. There are about 23 bends and it is indeed a most spectacular track, with top speeds in the 300km/hr± for the tin tops.
@@joeconnolly1144 It is a most spectacular track Joe, although I now live in Australia's smallest and most southern state, I grew up in the Bathurst area, and as Mt Panorama is a public road, I have driven around it many times. The steep parts are very steep, and even driving around at just 60km/hr, you get a real feel for the degree of difficulty. If you Google Mt Panorama, or Bathurst 1000 you will find lots of stuff and plenty of video action. Although the present cars, known as Australian Super Cars, look like road cars, they are purpose built race cars, and about the only genuine parts would be some panels and the badges. In earlier times, they had to race in stock standard cars, and there was a far greater range of different models, and to my mind it was far better. Earlier on it was known as the Armstrong 500, sponsored by Armstrong shock absorbers, and was 500 miles long, but sometime in the 60s (I think) the name was changed and the distance increased to 1000 km, around 620 miles. If ever you find yourself in Australia, it is well worth the effort to get to Bathurst and do a quiet lap around, and there is also a trackside museum with lots of previous winners on display, and if you can wangle it for a time when they are racing, you will just love it. Cheers
Legendry racing with legendry cars on a legendary track!!!!
NASCAR? ... pffffttt... whatever. These boys are brilliant!
THIS is real racing!
@Joseph Kennedy Explain.

Travis Curlutu June Sprints Elkhart Lake, WI Also Vintage Car racing.
Find your local track and volunteer for flagging turns! You'll never have to pay to get into a race again...

These cars actually look like a production car where as NASCAR are all look-a-like bullshit.
This is fantastic.
Old, hard to drive cars on one of the top tracks in the world!
Mount Panorama, what a fantastic track. Having V8s belting around there makes a great sight and the growl of V8s is music to my ears.

I reckon that's a great idea, where can i find Warburton's phone number?
Reminds Me of the Trans Am Racing Circuit We Had in USA In Late 60's- Mid 70' s
Finest race track on Earth!

Thanks for the upload from germany.
Pretty sure John Bowe's torana run's a holden 308.
Great facility for sure. The people would pack the hills here in the US
😁 So much more entertaining than Super cars
Beautiful cars, Beautiful racing, I wish I was around to see those monsters race back in the day.
Bring back the trans-am!
They all use H pattern? Cool as fuck💪🏽

They are driving upside down and driver is on wrong side !😁💋
Go the Pacer
The pacer at that stage was only 6 cylinder, but it now runs a hemi

We need this in the USA!
Thanks for the upload from the U.K.
I love this stuff
A 4 door racecar just doesn't look right.. beautiful track there.
Torana 💪
TCM, is far better than V8 Supercar series.

アメリカンマッスルって、本気で走らせたらかなり速いんですね。
V8とか、重い❗️っていうイメージだったけど撤回します!
Damn. like Trans-Am I saw decades ago.
It was called TransAm in America. And just like Nascar, the car manufacturers got tired of the MOPARs whuppin ass. So they ruined it.
Marcos Ambrose Hold my Fosters !
These cars are genuinely timeless race cars, proof that parody is bullshit! 👍
Ford❤
Boring , Boring . Camaros and Mustangs ? Yawn zzzzz .
This would really be great without all the yapping in the booth!
whats the track layout? its road course, all road course layouts should be addressed at least once in an airing.
I'd love to start at the back of the pack in New model touring car. see how I go.
Boa noite essa categoria e pé atoladooooo aí eu do valor e acho massa.ass costela. carreteiro Brasil
How are these cars gripping the road so well??? Is it the updated suspension and tires?
They have upgraded production suspension but pretty well as they where built in terms of the engineering
Bursons are a rip off. When in WA go to Veale Auto Parts

We had a slant valiant with push button gears! It was bazaar
The blue VF had a Hemi 265 in it at the time- only reason it wasn't dead last against all those much hotter than stock V8's. These days it has a V8.
more classic battles!
mothball the new shit
I wonder how a 2.3 4 -cylinder Mustang SVO would fair against this crowd ?? Hmmmmmm ..... 😉
Go away!
No good until you tossed the motor and dropped a worked BARRA in it!
Are there Buicks in those races?

6 laps what a joke really there's no way you even get a chance to overtake anyone unless the other car has about 100 hp less than yours, lol :)
Nice classics
