Another Great Complication of Great Engines!. The scenery and the back drop really is incredible and bliss. I love high amounts of greenery and it really makes the engines coming through such beauty really shines through. The sound of steam locomotives really is amazing and it will never get old. Great work once again Marsh Steam Videos. Thank you for sharing with us. 😀
Greatly enjoyed, thanks Liam and Phil. Another superb compilation and a tremendous achievement to have such quality and variety while working within the 'uncorrupted' discipline. Brilliant choice of final sequence with the detonators - unannounced, I believe - and the poppies in the foreground; I had seen the foreground before but only realised the extent when you widened the camera angle. Kind regards, Bob
Beautiful Train stuff....l live in the USA our steam Trains have a loud monning whistle WoooooooHuuuuuu hhh.....An your Trains just have a little whistle.....Can you answer that for me ???...Just wondering...l grew up hearing steam Trains whistle....l am 78 years old now...Thanks very much...!
Steve, I guess USA locos need a loud whistle for the amount of road crossings they have to pass over and the fact that your locos are considerably larger in size it would make sense to have a whistle that matches a locomotives presence and size. Other than that, I couldn't tell you.
@@MarshSteamVideosTM Well l guess...But l am like you l really don't know....Here is a link to one ours ruclips.net/video/yHZfhMqoYjU/видео.html...This part 3...But there is a part 1,2,4 enjoy my good friend...Stay safe....Blessing your way...l am in Kentucky....Thanks for the return text...!
You should put ASMR in the title! :-D The sound of these locos never get old. :-) I'm only 8 minutes in too!! EDIT: Saving the best shot for last! :-D (not including the shooting though!)
As far as I know, for a number of different reasons: 01. For tours where the engine cannot be reversed at a triangular junction (because we have no turntables left). 02. In case of breakdown or stlling, especially on the heavier trains on hillier routes. 03. As a conditon of being allowed to run the steam train on the main railway system at all (miht apply to specific steam locomotives) In the case of adding another steam locomotive running backwards, my guess is that there was nowhere to reverse the direction of the lead locomotive so the trailing locomotive would have taken the train home.

Superb video Liam and Phil. Great compilation with a brilliant selection of locos. Excellent editing to capture fantastic scenery. Kind regards C&A
I absolutely love that British steam is allowed to go at speed. I just wish in the magical land of her majesty, that we would hear more whistle!
What a beauty 😍👏🏽
Watching Foremarke Hall in 2017 on that 16 coach train with 35006 brings back memories of good

Cheers Sammy, that Poppy field at Foley Park will be forever remembered !
So why will they add a diesel locomotive to the back of some trains? Or another steamer?

12:30 You're scaring the cows!
Loved this video. Some really terrific camera work. What was the purpose of the detonators at the distant signal in the last scene?
They were disposing of them, due to being borderline out of date. Glad you enjoyed the video.
