Fantastic, best hour I've spent watching telly in a long time. Your footage is so evocative for sight and sound. Thank you for all the effort you put in to keep us entertained.
Your Excellent video brings back memories of my youth. In 1962 I was an avid train spotter at 12 yrs old. I spent hours watching trains at Cardiff Central Station.... Castle, Hall, (I think Manor) and the very occasional King class trains. Sometimes the driver would allow me onto the foot plate and experience the array of gauges, brass fitting controls and heat of the fire box. Now at 74 yrs old seeing your video brings back the sounds, smells and smuts in the eyes of those youthful years. Thank you, Thank you Thank you !!!.
A nice collection. I have to be home alone all Christmas long. My Mum met someone who's got Covid, and tested negative so far. I'm staying home to be safe, but it means I have to spend Christmas all alone with no-one to cuddle, no Christmas Dinner to enjoy and no presents to open. I'm so Lonely This Christmas.😢
Thank you, a first class film and the best steam action of the year! Also a great tribute to the many hundreds of people who are dedicated to keeping these wonderful machines in such good shape.
Loco crews must love going mainline, get the locos up to some proper speeds. Makes you wonder how the mechanical's don't fly off. Some great engineering.
The locomotive is 45699 Galatea but the owners have chose to doll it up as 45562 Alberta and more recently as 45627 Sierra Leone, which is why its carrying a different smokebox number and nameplates. It should return next year back in its original form.
Hi Marty, from what I understand it is a "backup" locomotive in case the steam train has problems and needs help to its destination and can be removed from the Mainline. That way regular traffic will not be delayed. All the best from the usa!

Hope you well soon Kelly merry Christmas 🎉
Thank goodness! At last a video without incessant annoying jangling background "music" (noise).
Your steam trains are the best "music" by far!
The speed of that Stephenson link valve gear on those great westerns going full pelt look ridiculous!

Superb collection, thanks for your great efforts, wonderful to bring back memories. Did Scots Guardsman have a wobble at 46:50 or is it my eyesight??
Your eyesight is spot on ! Many thanks for watching and commenting.
Fantastic ❤❤, loco steam
So very good
3rd engine was 45562 Sierra Lione not Galetea

Requesting more of the same. Until god calls you home or can't flim anymore
Why do some trains pull a Diesel engine??
