I greatly enjoyed your video. I am on the same journey and totally relate to your experience and goals. You and I know the answer to the right turns. Practice, practice, practice. You are engaging and fun to listen to. Well done.
Thank you! I will be attending my next Lock and Lean class next weekend in Rockford LL102....I will post similar videos discussing my experience with this new class! I hope to meat you at a future event!
Cue, congratulations on a successful completion of a tough looking course. Not sure if this will help or not but, I have taken a few “one-day” free courses called “Share The Road” - offered by local police motor officers - and a suggestion was to lower the rear brake. I opted for the SoftBrake +1” last year and it’s helped tremendously. Very good reviews. Stay safe.
Practice is key no doubt. How I got to the point I'm at was constant practice. After I finished motor officer school, I kept at it every day I rode. I stayed in what I call the "practice frame of mind" always looking for opportunities. I also like to say (because I was on a police bike and could go anywhere in DC) that the world is a motorcycle range. I would use things like vehicle barriers, sidewalks, trails, grass on the National Mall, and the monuments, to practice and hone my skills. Places a civilian rider could never go, I used as a range. In fact, I learned more and sharpened my skills more than I ever could with cones. If you hit a cone, no big deal, hitting a vehicle barrier designed to stop a truck, is a problem. It forced me to concentrate and use the skills I learned, or else.
Wonderful Cue... My training was waaay back in the early '90s on an Electra Glide Police special. Although I've taken many courses since then on my Wing, I need to get more perficient on the wing. Keep up the great work.

I normally use my Road Glide. In the weeks leading up to the class I decided to replace the clutch. I should have put a stock clutch, but decided to try the Screaming Eagle. I didn't like the way it rode, so I decided to use my Street Glide so that I would not be dealing with a learning curve during the class. If we ever get decent weather in Memphis I plan to practice with the Road Glide
@Riding and Wrenching lol. I do 12. And spread the width out as I improve. Not sure if the tighter the width makes it harder. Say 3 ft over 12 cause you are always switching back
@@skbenwa good point. I was a little intimidated at first but realized it wasn't that bad. But there are still key points with the pattern that I'm going to work on. Specifically I want to be more precise with my wheel placement using both of my motorcycles. The Road Glide will probably be the most challenging due to the size of the fairing.

Thanks! These classes definitely make riding more fun. I'm looking forward to taking more
Buddy ..Great info/video on class, is it only conducted in Florida and what is cost ?? also, what is the seat you're using on your new Road Glide

Why did you use your street glide over your road glide. Which is easier for you to operate at low speeds, or is there any difference?

@@RidingandWrenching thanks for the reply!
What seats are those on your road glide
I have a custom Harley Hammock on my Road Glide. My Street Glide has a stock seat. I will be buying a motor officer seat for some slow speed riding
How tight was the offset weave?
That's a good question....I didn't measure it,but I'm guessing 12-15ft
