Just got my Mazda3 Liftback a week ago. And I noticed exactly the same thing, while on Adaptive Cruise Control, rather than positioning the center of the car in the middle of the lane, it puts the driver in the middle of the lane. Not a big deal, but you do feel like yanking it to right at times. But overall the car drives like a gem.
Can u also do similiar testing with subaru forrester or xv cruise control?. They did have acceleration configuration/mode for ACC and wondering whether it is any good. Most car dont have this and i hate the acceleration part.. not smooth.
Wanted to ask, I understand that both are from very different segments, but I still hope to find out if comparing between Mazda 3 and cx5, is the comfortability and handling really so different between the two? Given a scale from 0 to 10, Mazda 3 with 8 handling and 4 comfortability, while cx5 with 4 handling and 8 comfortability? Just ignore the other differences like space and height etc.
How much Mazda can save for the cost of 1 tyre warning indicator? I encountered 1 time my tyre air pressure left around 10 psi almost flat but no warning sign indicator up.. I ask the Sales Person & just informed that Mazda removed this features.. Luckily I spotted it before I drive out.. Mazda CX-5 FL 2024..
my car pre-facelift, retrofitted the MRCC, but lacking the CTS aka Lane-Centering part, and it's performs alright. somehow i notice Mazda's lane keeping always leans to the left for some reason. and also it will speed up because of the HRV confusing the forward sensing camera, but that also because u set the distance to 1 bar, and in 3 bar is the most stable
I had to part ways with my car due to its poor quality and lack of durability. The undercarriage, especially the suspension spring, made pressing sounds in the rain, and other parts wore out quickly.rear left shock absorber oil leak after 3 years also ..
one thing i like about mazda, is how predictable the car is. for example, when coasting on highway i can exactly know if i let go the throttle the car will maintain the distance to the car in front without being too close and not touching the brake. small things, but noticeable
Omg I know exactly what you mean! I was driving a 2nd gen Mazda 3 years ago down Cameron Highlands and the roads were filled with traffic.. as everyone constantly braked and accelerated with the flow of traffic, I quickly got in the flow of just knowing n sensing the momentum of the car such that I barely tapped on the brakes unless traffic came to a complete stop. It was pretty amazing once I realised that and became sort of a game to see how little I needed to brake the car. There’s this sense of connection - you feel one with the car, that Mazda gives the driver 😊🎉 Plus the steering inputs gives you just such a natural predictability that feels 2nd nature. However much you turn the wheel, just feels uncannily natural with how much the car turns too !
front compartment of mazda 3 is good enough. rear will be significantly cheaper feel than the front, and boot area straight back to C segment japanese quality. it's not a 5 series rival in terms of build or material quality. totally different price point product
I got cx3 2017 CBU 6 month ago.. overall i can say bang for bucks.. the FC was better than 1.5L hatchback.. the best part is the handling and throttle response.. the gearbox is precise!!
Civic FE is a better car. Bigger, more spacious, more comfortable and faster. But I prefer the Mazda 3 hatchback on looks, build quality, paint quality, precise driving characteristics and that fun RWD feel when driven to the limits, but you need time to explore the last part and slowly hone the skills to dial the front end in on fun mountain roads. The Civic drives like an Audi, the Mazda drives like a BMW in a way
I intend to exchange my current Toyota Corolla 2023 Hybrid with either a Mazda CX-5 or a Kia Sportage Hybrid or a Subaru Outback. They are all similarly priced, if you could choose between these, which one would you buy? If you could do a ranking between them. Thanks bobby!
I live in a cold climate, I want AWD. I also don't drive the car often enough to actually utilise a hybrid car enough however I still prefer a hybrid car because of the tax reduction in hybrids in my country. I also want a SUV. The Corolla is a great car, however I have found that it takes awful a lot of road noise into the cabin. Sadly Toyota hasn't fixed this issue yet, which they claimed to be better in the 2023 model compared to the 2022 model but I can't hear the difference.@@rawrr3396
I disagree with Bobby.. The leather seat and comfort is what really makes me appreciate the car long run.good ride and suspension is not something I enjoyed in a mazda. The seating position is also very tight for anyone above 90-100kg size Mazda have a shrill engine noise and terrible suspension, which really annoys me alot that it ruined the good handling and stability they offer.
Coming from a BMW G01 X3, I can safely say that Mazdas have better build quality and it drives better. It does not feel very underpowered but the main thing is that how it drives. Glad to say that I never regretted my choice swapping out the BMW for a Mazda.
I dont know ... good driving dynamics without the speed and power is ... not enough to get me smiling. The 2L skyactive engine feel woefully under powered (or is it under torqued) by today standards. No amount of driving feel can compensate when you get left in the dust by inferior vehicles that are mediocre to drive and yet are faster due to turbocharged or electric drivetrains.
@@BobbyAngmalaysia love your ( and YS Khong’s) genting runs on underpowered cars pushed to their limits hehe. There is some truth to “its more fun to drive a slow car fast than to drive a fast car slow” after all. But I bet you’d be smiling even bigger if you had 2.5 instead of 1.5 on that car.
Small independent company .... And Japanese has never been good at software UI/UX cos Japanese consumers don't complain ... They just take it as "I'm not good at it, I will commit harakiri if I can't learn it myself, I shouldn't trouble the customer service people at the hotline" 😂
U can’t feel bodyshell . It has very good crash rating . U mean body panel . It’s just a thin piece of shaped body panel . Sound hollow because of less soundproofing
@fuangboonyong9885 Exactly, Mazda does not feel has that type of feeling of solidity overall comparing to a Peugeot,VW, Volvo, BMW Mercedes, Audi Just fall short slightly .
I am a cx5 owner for many years. It is a very very good car but sadly Mazda dont have good EV and I am currently waiting for tesla Y juniper or Byd sea lion 07. Goodbye mazda and thank you
Cx5 owner here. I love the driving experience. Long journey especially. As you said "Owners wil know"
Just got my CX-60. 3.3L Turbo Diesel hybrid with 287kw and 550 Nm torque, it's a beast ! Love it !
@@CLXH CX-60? which country are you from?
@yatsum81 Down under. Couldn't wait any longer for the CX-80 that will be available by end 2024.

wow CX5 FL has the lane keep assist below 70 km/h. Honda call it Traffic Jam Assist if not mistaken but not available in Malaysian models
What is your opinion on older Mazda models such as the Mazda 6 GH? How is it compared to the newer models?

The throttle control is so precise because of their pedal design. I learned that from Mr Low Mazda Sales Channel
I went to Japan R&D and visited Jinba Ittai division, he didn't 😂

I got sedan car at home. Plan to buy SUV car. I should buy CX5 or Omoda e5?
Not even a comparison . CX5 hands down
CX5. If let's say u wanna to sell out the car after few years, at least they got good RV. Bye2 for any EV vehicle for RV.
I own Mazda3 2020 & wife owns Omoda 5. The handling dynamics of Mazda is just too good to compare to Omoda 5.
