I’d love to see a video from you explaining why operating systems need to change overtime… Whether it’s security concerns, issues with programs needing newer operating systems, etc.… Maybe even why companies stop offering support or security updates
Three years before end-of-life market share numbers: XP: 49.5% Windows 7: 39% Windows 10: ...yeah, you see that number. I guess I wasn't the only one uninterested in moving on just because Microsoft wanted to sell me a new PC.
It's not about having issue or not. It's about preferred way of using a platform. You can do your due diligence about other platforms and decide whether it suits you better or not.
Same here except I'm still using Windows 7 even after they ended support in 2020 and tried getting me with the "you're vulnerable to attacks". Nope, haven't been hacked once. But then again I don't download and open random files or programs. I'm not a fan of Windows flat UI
I know that at my dad’s work, that remanufactures diesel fuel injectors for semis, still uses XP as a base for their automated machines, and to log data on said machines. Apparently the codes don’t run properly in anything past XP, so that’s why they and I assume a great majority of that .7% of XP users
That's interesting. I notice that some of the big retailers still use Windows XP. They could pay for extended support, but even "purchased extended support" ran out for XP in 2019. I guess if it's working for them, then that's ok.
After my Windows 10 pc started an auto recovery loop and wouldn't let me use my restore points, not letting me log back in unless I bought a second copy of Windows, I dropped Microsoft all together and have gone to Linux.
I bet most of the XP users are in industry. I work for an electronics contractor, and the amount of our customers products that still use 20+ year old hardware is incredible. We have to run emulators and have a box of shitty old XP and Vista laptops on hand just so we can test them.
Oh hell fucking nah, I’m staying with 10. Windows 10 in my eyes is the final version of windows to keep some old features from windows 7 like the start menu being on the left, still being able to use internet explorer. I could go on. I’m staying with windows 10.
Me. I have no choice! Microsoft deem Ive got to spend many hundreds and hundreds of pounds to upgrade to new machines as both my Dektop and Laptop, that Ive spent a lot on over the years upgrading with more memory and SSD`s, is not good to run their new software. They can go away until all of my PC`s give up the ghost and with whats now going on in the UK, I hope i`ll be dead before I need to buy ne. Ive just plain and simple had enough
Microsoft have been hiding in plain sight for years but now like Aople, stepping from the shadows. My 6 year old relatively powerful laptop apparently can't handle WIN11. What a load of sloblock!
I’ll switch to a different operating system if it keeps the the traditional Windows UI. They changed it for no reason in 11.

Yes, that could be an interesting video.
i bet you by the day windows 10 support ends 60% will still be using windows 10. I myself would stay on win 10 over 11 any day!

It seems people really like Windows 10.
I have no issues with 10, so why should I change it?

Smooth and light information exchange. My friend you are hero. Thank you 😊
Very kind of you, thank you!

Yes, I see companies using Windows XP sometimes, but I never see home users with Windows XP.
@@EasyPcRepairs Yes true, maybe 1 or 2 old grandads. Thankyou for continuing to upload btw - I find these videos really enjoyable.
Happy to do so!
We will likely see a drop in Windows 10 after October 14 2025.

I will keep using Windows 10 as long as they sell compatible x86-64 hardware for it. And maybe some years beyond that.
I loved windows xp.
I was a bit hesitant to switch to windows 11, but now that I've used it for a couple months, I can say that it was worth it!
I am curious how you got your statistics??
I got them from statcounter.com
Could you do an update on this?
Yes, will do an update fairly soon.
As much as I liked 10 I definitely prefer 11. It’s much more intuitive and looks great too!
Yes, I did like Windows 10 but have moved onto Windows 11 myself.

thing is when you buy a new computer it comes with windows 11, even when currys advertise it as a windows 10 machine 🤷♂

Windows 11 is worse than 10 in every possible way.
