I'm using the BOBOVR M2 Pro Battery Pack Head Strap, it has a removable battery held on by magnets so you can easily hotswap while wearing the headset. Buy at least one extra battery and you're good to go.
Good review . A couple of points I want to say because I own Elite and KIWI design strap: It is true that because weight distribution doesn't exist, out of the box Elite Strap seems more comfortable, but when you attach an external batt to KIWI , kiwi wins hands down for me, because the cup on the back is larger and cups the back of my head more . Also the top strap, when you have the weight distribution properly set, it has an important role if You don't want to squeeze the strap too much, then the top strap on KIWI with that extra plushiness is immensely helpful . You also compared Aubika with the Deluxe audio strap with battery, but You did not do the same for KIWI vs Aubika, so ofc Aubika wins in comfort over KIWI , versus VIVE Deluxe (weight distribution seems really important for Q2). Cheers
Is the backside usb port only for power charging or the port can also be used for data and can so be used to activate occulus link or sidequest without using the original usb c on heaset avoid removing extra baterry cable each time for that ?
Ok i got this and i love how much better it rest on your head. And you can do bypass charging to charge both battery and oculus at the same time but i find it much easier and faster to charge them separately the head set is expected to take up to 2 hours to fully charge while the external battery head strap take about 2 to 3 hour for a full charge i just find it much easier to do then charging them both together. And i always unplug my external head strap when im done playing to keep it from breaking off in the charging port.
That would be a great feature, as I switch between standalone and PC VR quite a lot. But I'm afraid it won't work. When you watch closely at around 9:10, you see two thicker cables on the bottom left of the board leaving to the left. Those are most likely the contacts for the power delivery to the Quest 2, and as only 2 are connected, it looks like no data connection is available.
Thanks for sharing! This product wasn’t on my radar - have been awkwardly using an external battery pack that doesn’t even charge the headset while in use, just holds whatever percentage I’m on. Just ordered one of these, excited to upgrade my sessions with this strap! Cheers!!
7:14 How did you get this game going, and where did you get it? Because it's clearly modeled after the arena from The Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion. And I've never heard of nor found a VR port/version of Oblivion.
What's your favourite headstrap for the Quest?

That's a good idea!
You and the instructions that come with this skip THE MOST important step. Disliked.
Which is..?
thanks
You mention that there is pass-through charging, which is useful, however is it wired for link/data pass-through as well please?
I will take a look and let you know

7:18 The Kiwi strap has been bent downwards. Is it broken or did you mod it because only the right side is doing that.
Would like to know if this strap or the m1 bobovr strap is better

Because it's clearly modeled after the arena from The Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion.
And I've never heard of nor found a VR port/version of Oblivion.
It's an app lab game called Gladius. I cover it in one of my top 10 app lab vids here: ruclips.net/video/YcJUbiVN-Xw/видео.html
Have there been any 3rd party batteries/battery straps that report their charge in the headset UI, or is that still only the official strap only?
I believe it’s still only the official elite battery. And I can confirm this one doesn’t.
Thank you so much
Great looking device. Thanks for the review. 👍🏻
Thanks for watching!
Got it and it doesn’t actually charge the headset
because you got the head strap without the battery
Probably because you got the wrong one without the battery
