Man, I adore your personal life stories. Especially when I'm at a dark time of my life, like I am right now. I'm trying to deal with the troublesome aftermath of a not so pleasant breakup, in addition to some very rough months workwise and try I to figure out, what's going on in my life. But to hear, that everything eventually could turn out well, even if sh!t seems to be at its worse, is a very encouraging thing to hear. That's something I happen to forget from time to time. id be keen to hear the rest!! im sure thousands and thousands of others will too! your a good inspiration to me, i run a youtube channel and gained my inspiration from several youtubers and you being one of them. ive now just found the confidence to set up a second youtube account that will be airing the first video in january. ive got huge respect for you for getting out of the messes you were in, the heart aches you encountered and still came out strong too. i too live by means of disability but not for myself but for my wife who has a debilitating incurable condition and im trying to make youtube work for myself so that if anything was to happen with my wife anytime then i could have something to fall back on to look after myself and our children as having been out of work for so long now as a full time carer for my wife it wont be easy to get straight back into work. your the inspiration that allows people like me to believe that it is possible and you have shown that good genuine everyday people can make a difference. really glad things have worked out for you, you are a truly humble and incredible personality and a very popular person because of this too. all the best to you and your wife and i look forward to more videos and part 2! anyway ill stop rambling on now lol thank you

I'd be interested to hear the rest. I've thought about venturing into the youtube space but still thinking about what to specialize in. My son is dying to do something but not sure about him being 9 and having so much negativity perhaps flying at him, he knows about you and likes watching the videos he can (Francis curses lol) so you are an inspiration to him as well.

It will take you to the instructional part of RUclips; trust me, it's worth it.
I would wait and see what your son develops interests in then do the channel on something y'all share a love for. It's great you're wanting to do this with him though, hope it goes well and you two have fun.

There's a channel where the person just opens Kinder Eggs and it has more than two million subs. Gaming and vlogs will be tough to get into due to it's saturated state, but find his interests no matter what they are and run with that. If he finds something interesting, others will too. Help him with good video production and SEO and the subs will eventually come.
rochat the video production and seo is something I can def do and I agree with the gaming difficulty entry. There's over saturation right now. He's a pretty imaginative kid and I'm a graphic designer so I'm confident we can come to a good place.

pretty crazy i was a shut in 2004-2005 also and was pretty much just playing WoW exclusively and living off my best friends generosity. I think i left his basement twice in that time. Ten years later i've clawed my way back to being a productive (sort of) adult that has a job pays rent etc etc. glad we got out of the house! if anyone out there is currently stuck in a situation like that don't give up! you can overcome it!

I've had people dislike 40 videos at once. Becuase you can look at the geography and then look at view time. A small country would have like 3 minutes of watch time and 40 views and 40 dislikes.

Boogie, you won me with a video you did about 4/5 years ago. It was a long one where you told your fans and haters that you loved them no matter what. In my eyes I saw a great guy who inspired me, someone I wanted to follow and send back that love.

I think that I discovered you from that Optical Illusion video, I remember you only had a few thousand subs, but I liked your shit and joined the club. Then I stepped away from youtube, came back a few years later, and you built an empire. I was really impressed when I looked you up again. Most accounts as old as yours didn't last nearly as long or remain successful. I am glad yours did. :)

i could listen to this stuff for hours. granted, i listen while playing games and stuff but its really entertaining and if i missed something i pause and go back. boogies needs a podcast the guy tells the most depressing stories but in a way that makes you happy. i should feel depressed but im not. tell us more, boogie, id totally tune in.
Boogie, is an amazing guy! I feel sorry for him however I feel happy for him because he found happinesses in his life. You have lived a rough life, however at the end you have found happinesses, and not only for you but for all of us, I remember when I used to get bullied and I always came depressed but when I watched your videos it made me feel joy! Keep on doing what you do and never give up! Remember we will always be with you!

He continually surprises me with his insights , intellect and raw humor. When I get the chance to tour the USA, he is at the top of my list of RUclipsrs I would be honored to meet. I really wonder what goes through a persons mind when they decide to dislike this video. judging by upload date and dislike bar the dislikers are either subscribers or people actively checking Boogie's channel. just to dislike? really?
I've had people dislike 40 videos at once. Becuase you can look at the geography and then look at view time. A small country would have like 3 minutes of watch time and 40 views and 40 dislikes.
+JsinXx I sometimes wonder why there is even a thumbs function at all. Subscription suffices, i doubt that people who dislike a channel would subscribe to it. People thumb for all kinds of reasons.
+boogie2988 I have been watching your videos for some years now, not every one, and not every day. Some of your VLOGs where you ramble about life, challenges, success and failures are true inspirations. Props man for doing something you love, being good at it, being successful at it, and most of all, providing people with a smile, a laugh and yes, even inspiration. oh wow this is a bit like what I am doing right now. seeing other you tubers and thinking I can do it but my own way or add something elst to the mix. But I am right at the beginning were my videos are just starting to get over the 30 viewers mark on my newer stuff. It feels good that I am having the same thoughts as the others on here and I hope to follow in your foot steps :)

Keep the story going, I'd love to hear more! First boogie2988 video I ever saw was Francis Plays Magic the Gathering a few years ago. Still one of my favorites and for a long time I thought Francis was a real person. I always just searched RUclips for "Francis videos" never actually seeing any of the other content until about a month or so ago. Shortly after discovering the rest of your content and being a gamer myself I subscribed to both boogie2988 and Boogie Plays Games. You've got an inspiring story man, I love all your videos.
