    people should stop hating that this is for "lazy people." Everyone can't be home 24/7. some people have work. some people want to go out to places they can't take their dog. some people want to relax at home and have a lazy day. Don't call people who want their dog to be happy and play independently "lazy." I'd much rather have things to help my dog have fun by herself than have an anxious dog that destroys my apartment when I'm not home.

      There will always be people who only see the negative side of things. No point trying to change their mindset. Trolls will be trolls!

    • @bryanmorales3112
      @bryanmorales3112 4 года назад +1

      Chillaa23 what a horrible mindset. We aren’t the slaves of our pets. Unless you work at home and are perfectly healthy there is no way you can keep your pet content all the time. This is perfect for all those good, patient boys that wait for their owners to come home.

    • @zouralover
      @zouralover 3 года назад

      - and what do you think this product is for? To take care of your dog’s physical and emotional needs while you can’t be home. It’s unrealistic to expect everyone to be home 24/7 with their dogs and it’s unhealthy for the dogs to have a hyper attachment to you, which can happen if you do spend 24/7 with the dog. There has to be a healthy balance between codependent and independent time with your dog. And this tool encourages independent play.

      Yeah, if kids can have toys why can't dogs? Nobody is called "lazy" in that case. I prefer my dog to have something fun to do when I'm busy rather than being bored

    Responding to all those people who stated people are too lazy to throw a ball. Having had dachshunds all of my life this machine is a blessing. When my dachshunds have run me ragged they have this to run them ragged.

    I loved the Boston Terrier's reaction...so darn cute! There isn't anything wrong with the automatic ball launcher. Sometimes people don't have the time to throw a ball with their dog. Also, it's good for the disabled or elderly person who cannot interact with their pet outside. If you don't like the launcher, then don't bloody buy it.

    I have a Parson Russell Terrier that is obsessed with chasing the ball. I walk with him for an hour every morning with a ball Chuckit to wear him out. I throw the ball inside the house for him, play tug too but his main focus is the ball. I ordered one last night, he is going to love this. I'll still throw his ball because I like trowing it for him but this? This gives me a break. LOL

    need a larger outdoor version that will work with standard tennis balls and will launch really high and far (maybe with a variable setting) for big dogs. This should be your target market. Most of these small dogs can pick up a tennis ball too. Just a thought.

      Once you've taught your dog what to do then it would work as a great entertainer/boredom&loneliness&distress alleviater whilst you're out of the house without them. The one's in the vid being shown the ropes/given a helping hand were clearly at the early stages, whereas the others going completely solo were either faster learners or more experienced users.

  • @tomo9547
    @tomo9547 8 лет назад

    If the ball shot immediately the dog would not be have time to get in front of the machine and block it, also dogs would probably associate putting the ball in the hole with it shooting out faster enabling them to learn how it all works quicker. ifetch you may implement that in the ifetch 2 for a small fee of one doggy biscuit.

    • @goiFetch
      @goiFetch  9 лет назад +6

      Matthew Schipper Hi Matthew. No, there is no sensor on the iFetch. There is a bit of a delay in the release of the ball to allow a dog to back up/get out of firing range and get ready to chase the ball. Our new product, the iFetch Too, is coming out this year and uses regular sized tennis balls with almost no launch delay. In that case, there is not enough time for a dog to step into the firing range. Hope that helps!

      if you did your homework, you will find out that this was the brain child of a teenager who had mounds of homework to do and his dog always wanted to play which he couldn't at times - life gets in the way. So with the help of his grandfather they came up with this idea so rather than the dog having to sit and wait, he could be active. So this was the brainchild of not a mega corp but a boy and his granddad...and they didn't have the advantages of big pockets or names to support them .

      No. They do it purposesly so they can make more money fro consumer. You're better off buying theior competitor that accepts standard tennis balls.

      TEVA BOOKING Smaller dogs, like fox terriers, have hours of energy to burn off every day but their mouths are not large enough for regular tennis balls. That is why most pet stores carry mini tennis balls, not to rip off the consumer.

    GoDogGo kicks this things ass because most dogs want to catch not run after the ball every time, GoDogGo has a nice arch so dogs can catch the ball. I wanted this thing to work but it kind of sucks.

  • @slamdtruck
    @slamdtruck 10 лет назад +4

    if the owner has to keep putting the ball in there.. isn't it more practical to just throw it? i mean it takes more effort to point and get your dog to put the ball in the machine than it does to just throw the ball... i play with my dog all the time, it's an interaction/bonding experience that is healthy for both humans and dogs... this kind of takes away from that necessity...

    • @ambyrhawkeshadowsinger691
      @ambyrhawkeshadowsinger691 10 лет назад +6

      I'm pretty sure the dogs are still being trained on how to use the device. That's why the owners are pointing at where to put the ball. This would be great for disabled persons who can't reach down to get the ball. It would also be good for dogs who have to be left alone during work. But yes, they still need interaction with their people.

    • @MsDarby64
      @MsDarby64 6 лет назад +1

      That is the training process! My dog figured it out with the third demonstration. It's a great challenge for him and he loves the game. I could throw the ball 100 times and my dog wants more. I need to make dinner and study sometime!! I still have to be present for him to play with it. If I walk into another room he quits the game and follows me. We still play ball, tug, go for walks and bike to the dog park. Relax.

If this makes my dog happy, great. I find your comment very judgmental. Are you really that perfect?

      Some dogs have a high play drive. I have a chihuahua mix that literally wants to play fetch and tug of war every five minutes. I work from home and if I played fetch with her every time she wants me to I'd never get any work done.

      Chris Loos Same here! Mine never gets tired...runs on jet fuel & will play fetch until my muscles ache. If it were up to her, I would never work & would play fetch with her all day, everyday. lol. This iFetch would be awesome for both Bella & me.

  • @ScuttleFische
    @ScuttleFische 9 лет назад +1

    annoying.. we never get to see just 1 shot of the ball launcher receiving a ball, and then the full trajectory of the ball launch. just closeups of the dog and then the ball whizzing out.
    Also, why not a 45 degree angle for launch. This would allow the greatest distance per unit of force applied??
    Finally - it doesn't accept tennis balls, so you've clearly got plans to sell us your own proprietary balls of a very specific size, which will cost $10 a piece.
    Quit making JUNK
