Marrakesh, the cultural centre of Morocco. For almost a millennia, the city has been a political and financial hub for Southern Morocco. Throughout its illustrious history, it has even served as the capital of multiple empires. The city is so integral to Moroccan history that the country is known as Marrakesh in various Asian countries. Today, Marrakesh’s illustrious past is commoditised through its booming tourism industry; every year, millions of visitors flock to the city and witness firsthand its rich heritage.

London, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Bombay or Delhi would be interesting to know about. With the popularity of some of these cities, it would be best to add in some lesser-known facts about the cities like, Religious affairs, daily life, economy or any other niche topic.

عدم الإحساس بالمسؤولية هو السبب في الفشل، فكل واحد ينتظر أن يبدأ غيره.

just a note, : Leo Africanus was Moroccan himself, he grew up in Fez and studied at he University of al-Qarawiyyin, he was captured during his voyage to the Hajj by Euroepan pirates, then presented as gift to the pope were he got convereted to christianity

@@user-pr8uy9bw8y he was baptised by the Pope himself and worked directly for the pope. althou some say he returned to Morocco in his late years and reconverted to islam but this is not a sure thing, the sure thing is that he was baptised by the pope

      @@Yanzdorloph
He was forced and as did a lot of moorish people in spain ( leo was in italy) , his conversion to christianism was only to save his life... it was a de facade conversion. His writings about africa and islam did not show any signs of his conversion .... and no disrespect neither for islam nore for his origins...
