Similar thing happened to me too! Different state, different hospital. My family member died on the operating room table! The next day I called up the hospital to ask what happened to the body. The hospital told me the dead family member checked out!!!! I said they died in your OR, where is the corpse??!!!Finally they transferred me to the hospital morgue. She wasn't there! I was at my wits end. I told the clerk, a corpse doesn't just wander off. Finally they said maybe the city coroner's office had the body. I said, "Don't you have a record of what you do to remains?" What a horrendous experience during a time of extreme grief! I had to tell my 81 year old father the hospital not only killed my mother but then lost her body! 😠
Horrific.
