  • An historic event. After a 2.5 year restoration ERA E-Type GP2 enters its first event since leaving its old home (Silverstone Museum). Looking fantastic it went up the hill 4 times and started the 'shake-down' process towards a new exciting life doing what it should be doing. There is lots of paddock footage and some stills at the end for any one who wants to get to know this impressive car.

    This is a fantastic restoration of a very special car. Obviously, more of a circuit car than a hill climb car but well done to the Tip Top team for giving it an airing.

      Hi Jo, Jolyon will hill climb the car, but James Baxter can race it.

      @@chrismontgomery1223 Perhaps they will have the car at VSCC Loton Park next month. Sadly, we don't always get the best cars at Loton but if we get a couple of ERAs then I will be happy.

      Hi David. A little harsh. The car is in need of a 'run in and shake down' process. Considering the time and expense of bringing the car to this point it would be foolish to thrash the car up the hill. It takes time to get used to a 'new' car and the potential is there. This was the first outing since the rebuild and the driver took the car up the hill faster on each run. Chris

      @daviddjerassi:ช่างเป็นการตอบสนองที่ไร้เหตุผล นับเป็นการฟื้นฟูที่งดงามมาก

      You're mistaken, the carburation isn't right, they'll sort it in due course. He had to baby it to ensure it didn't do something stupid like go too lean and melt a piston. Nothing to do with the driver's ability.
