Watching Quiet On Set was so difficult. I watched those shows as a kid, and thoroughly enjoyed them. I even remember seeing “pickle boy” on All That, which honestly gives me chills because I remember it so vividly and had no idea what was going on behind the scenes. Drake’s story hit me hard. I watched him on the Amanda Show and Drake & Josh, and knowing someone who brought me so much joy as a kid had gone through something that horrible was devastating. I’m so glad he was finally ready to tell his story and start moving in a more positive direction. I’ve listened to his first album since watching the documentary, and he has been telling his story the whole time, but we didn’t know. In The End is such a beautiful and heartbreaking song, and he said he wrote it during that time. Somehow is another one. I think he had said somewhere it was also about what happened.
It was such an incredibly hard watch for me as well because I too watched every show mentioned and that was my childhood as well so I never caught on either. It’s gross to look back now and see the behaviors there and what was done behind scenes. Hopefully this and Drake can help others to speak out who might not have done so yet ❤️
As a victim myself Drake was the one who inspired me to start learning how to play guitar because he had a character on The Amanda bynes show called totally Kyle who played but now he's inspired me to finally tell my story of my abuse I'm starting to heal and feel much better now that I've told my parents the secret I kept for all these years cuz I was worried that my dad would do something crazy and wind up in jail for killing my abuser Drake story will help protect future child actor's and that's a good thing as Martha Stewart would say
