I tell myself he died on that island from Farcry 3 😂 I can't remember the villain's name but it's brutal, they got Chris Mintz to play himself but it's a brutal death
The most random fact I can ever share with someone is that my dad found, and bought, a replica McLovin ID at a gas station when visiting Arizona, and he still has it to this day.
Still one of my favourite comedies, the cast is incredible and really bounce off each other! I was 18 when this came out and every guy I knew would call themselves McLovin 😂
I don’t think people realized that it being overly raunchy and overly sexual is the joke. They’re highschoolers they’re gonna overexaggerate I kinda love that.
This came out when I was in highschool. Me and my friends definitely talked like this. Even some of our teachers cussed in class and we're cool. This movie is very realistic in my opinion.
The actress playing Michael Cera’s love interest’s best friend , Gaby, is also an amazing voice actress named Marcella Lentz-Pope. She has over 200 acting credits and her voice has been used in everything from Call of Duty: Warzone to Resident Evil to Star Wars: Battlefront. Highly recommend following her pages, very entertaining impressions!
Hearing him saying "Michael Cera is so wholesome" gave me flashbacks to his character in THIS IS THE END because there was nothing wholesome about his scenes in THAT movie lol
I gotta say, great catch with The Big Lebowski inspiration. I love and I've seen both movies many many times, but I've never thought about it. You're totally right!
I was bartending one night at my theater and we are required to check pretty much everyone’s ID’s. It was busy so I was pretty much in autopilot when a guest walked up. I asked for his ID and noticed as I looked at it that it was Christopher Mintz-Plasse. I checked McLovins ID as he was attempting to purchase alcohol. The irony 😂
Oh, I was about a decade past college when I saw this in the theater, but it still nailed me right in the nostalgic area, to the point that by the time I was walking out of the theater, I was kind o feeling my high school self again (though wiser for the years). I really wasn’t expecting that rejuvenation.
"we're laughing but it's sooo dated! Not ok to say these things anymore, but here we are laughing!" The internet has turned everything into a giant HR department.
I really miss the coming of age teen movies of the 2000s, they really don't make them like this anymore. Accepted (2006) is another great one with an awesome cast. I hope you react to more of these the nostalgia is so good!
Accepted is great. If you haven't seen it I do recommend the move they recommended earlier in the video, Booksmart. It's so similar to Superbad it's kind of amusing, but it's also very aware of that and still good.
This movie came out the weekend after I started my junior year of high school and by the time it was out of theaters, I watched it 3 times with 3 different friends. A lot of kids I knew loved the movie at the time and is one of my biggest memories about going to the movies back when I was a high schooler.
23:05 - My take on this is that they’re dancing around how old McLovin is supposed to be / trying to pressure him to slip up sooner so they can reveal they know and still hang
It's very annoying when someone says a comedy line is "dated." Either you find it funny or you don't. Speculating how it "plays" in "today's society" is pointless.
@@battleaxe8252 That's not mostly why these aren't made. Big production comedies were a middle-budget phenomenon, and middle is exactly where the industry got squeezed by changing media. Nothing stops anyone from trying, it just wouldn't be financially rewarding.
This is the origin story of Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. Crazy that Jonah Hill played teenage Seth Rogen in a movie written by Seth and Evan. And look at the empire they have built today.

I'm confused at the "so dating itself". I went to my cousin's kids soccer game, and kids still talk like this. Also, Seth and Evan wrote this when they were in HS in the 90s.
Superbad came out when I was 22. My daughter is 16 (she was born the year after it came out) and I finally got her to watch it with me a few months ago. It’s now on her lists of all time favorite movies.

Actually Seth riven and the other writer were friends in high school when they wrote this script together and it took them a long time to finally make it, this was written before the big Lebowski was released
Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg started writing this when they were in high school. It took several years to write it and get into a position to be able to have it made to write it and get into a position to be able to make it. Rogan originally planned to be one of the two stars, but by the time it was made he was too old.
Fun Fact: in the party scene clark duke kept putting himself in the background and they had to tell him to stop cuz it makes the party crowd look smaller.
