I have been honored to know some of these great men. I served in the Navy, but these men are the ones who truly fought and died for the freedoms that we enjoy today. God bless the old school soldiers…they are the last of a dying breed. ❤🇺🇸❤🇺🇸❤
Remember this man. Remember that there are countless untold stories from good men just like Vincent. Remember what they were fighting for.
As an army veteran. They do not make men like that any more.they were truly the greatest generation. God bless the WW2 vets . None better , tougher. Or more willing to go into harms way. God bless the USA.
From a Dutch guy who just realized his death. "You will going to jump to greatness!" You guys liberated my homecountry and for that i cannot repay you. I wish i could have done more for you guys when you were here a couple of years ago..
As an American WWII history buff I just love how the Dutch people still honor their liberators. Thank you!
@@ItsAHedgehog We should honor those brave souls and keep doing so! With their sacrifice we regained our freedom. It is we who need to thank them, and we do so by honoring them.
this music can make me console myself because my grandfather was a great general in sweden he died a long time before i could meet him but i am proud of him
I have been blessed with meeting and getting to know Metal of Honor winners and Astronauts and have also met Vice Presidents, Senators, Congressman but NOBODY and I mean NOBODY that I have met in my life comes close to the level of character, spirit and love of country as Vince Speranza. In short the most amazing man I have ever met. Great video and God bless you my friend. Have an airborne beer on me!
Every time I listen to Battle Hymn of The Republic I always think of this song. Sends shivers down my spine.

Before I read the comments and learned that this amazing hero had finally ended his watch! This video sent tears down my face. As a Navy veteran, I'd like to say BRAVO ZULU - PFC Speranza! We have the watch!

Men from all ages in this picture, and song. Beautiful job, all of you. Beautiful loving pictures.
Can we all just agree that the Greatest Generation was the greatest generation in US history
Yeah it was.
Not sure about that, the founding generation was probably the greatest in our history, especially given how many great minds they produced out of a country with a mere population of 2.5 million, but the greatest generation was definitely the most accomplished of the 20th century.

I can't remember where I heard this but I loved it. "You see that old man shuffling slowly down the street with his walking stick, he will be more badass then you will ever be"
Me and my buddies have been learning this song for our D-Day celebration. Glory and respect to the brave who made life today possible with their sacrifices. God bless this great nation.
