This is the best run in my opinion. This has always been my favorite X-Men run. I fully respect the historic runs in the past but this was always it for me.
I never read this book and now I am really looking forward to getting it. Thank you again for a great review. I think I started my collection just as the first run was out of print. But I am glad its back and I hopefully get to pick it up sooner than later
Yeah this was a whale for me for a while sense I jumped in just as it was kinda going out of print also but man oh man do we never have to pay extremely high prices for OOP books ever again at this rate.
Just got finished reading this yesterday. First time I've read it and as usual with the remarkable talent that is GM, to fully understand how great it is, it will need multiple re-reads! Fantastic art throughout ( aside from one artist who's name escapes me ) and a dense, philosophical read. Loved it...and I will love it more next time! ✌️
Right on the nose! A very thought out and different read compared to other X-books before it. Also I’d assume most will find atleast one artist in the book they don’t like sense there’s so many during the run. Still over all this is such a incredible starting point for the modern X-men era.

I personally like this run, except for "Assault on Weapon Plus". Quitely's art is only odd with women for me. Something about the facial structures. Lol I consider this to be the beginning of the modern X-Men mythos, but starting with Cassaday's "Astonishing X-Men", which directly follows this, is fine, too.
It really is very much different but that different is a great change for me personally as a reader. I do agree this is the beginning of the modern X-Men era as well as astonishing being a great starting read as well!
Great video! I’m torn between getting this, or buying Immortal Hulk Omni next month. I have to choose between the two to stay within my budget. Tuff decisions man lol

I’ll just wait until I can fit it in my budget. I’m finally dabbling into X-Men. I ordered the House of X/Powers of X, and The New X-Men.

I agree 100% both of those runs are top notch comic books to me! Most modern X-Men fans are very passionate about New X-men and Astonishing.

I vote for this. Immortal Hulk is great but it doesn't hold up as well near the end of the run. Still, you can't go wrong with either!
