With exams coming up and as we come near the end of a very odd academic year, a bunch of you guys messaged me asking how I stay motivated for medical school.

Damn. Everything u said are exactly what i have realized after 1.5 years of online schooling and 4 years of uni so far. I am aware of them yet I still struggle to act on them at times. Sometimes you just need that reminder from someone else, or to know that someone else relates to things you experience especially at these times. Good video!

Currently studying for my finals in med school (physiology next week) and my state exams for the 4th semester (end of preclinic) in August. I have been feeling extremely stressed lately. I wake up and all I do is studying for the same reasons you mentioned: Quarantine made my social life fuse together with uni. I dont know anything else than studying anymore, because the moment I start relaxing I keep thinking about all the topics I revised today and catch me going through revision cards the next moment. Even me and my friends just ALWAYS talk about med school when meeting or texting since we dont have that much interaction in real life anymore due to online seminars. I really hope I can somehow find the right balance...thank you for your content and also the very best luck for your upcoming exams.

im in medschool too. the thing is, you dont let motivation as a driving force. you WILL burn out. You have to start treating it like a job, discipline. make a daily schedule
Hello! May you do a video on how to stay focused and not touch the phone while studying? Like what was your mental shift and mindset to stay focused and not touch the phone or check that notification that just popped up? Or to even not think of the phone at all because it's hard!

But let me be honest, like i promise i was literally so not motivated to study and like I again have my test in 2 weeks and haven't even started preparing properly.

I really struggle with motivation, since the start of corona wayy back in 2020. I have to drag myself to start doing something. My mental health is 0 and I need to pass because it's my last chance to stay in med school. That are the rules here in this country, if u don't pass more than 60% of ur year, u wont have access to med school. I'm in my 4th year already, but im mentally so drained because of studying, my social life is over and im in a depression, still I can't stop thinking about my grades and uni.
I hope you’re doing better. Med school can get pretty frustrating, but if you’ve made it this far, you can take it further.
