Question, could you please share a link to for instance aliexpress for the components required, this lens, power led and bridge rectifier + condensator are hard to find as the specs are not known to me. I damaged this light because i converted it to direct battery system because the dynamo was not working properly but i connected the light to the laptop charger which damaged it and not turning on ,it was working perfectly with direct battery

Just a quick tip for cleaning brass and copper contacts, use a pencil eraser that way you just polish it up and remove the oxidation layer.

I did want to put a larger capacitor in, but I couldn't fit it inside, it's really tight for space!

I'd say the 19-ish volts of the laptop charger was too much for the 3v bulb.
Maybe just a replacement bulb is needed.
