I have used this pack for years and it’s my favorite pack due to the stretchy fit and the accommodating pockets. My only complaints are: 1) The method to route the hose for the water bladder was made way more complicated than it should be. Why not just route over the shoulder and be simple? Makes it easier to maintain. 2) There isn’t a small water-resistant pocket for your phone. Ziplok bag will suffice, but would be nice as a built-in feature of the Salomon bag.

I think I am going to buy this bag to train for a marathon. Does the water have a plastic taste (like with osprey bladder)? I find it very uncomfortable to suck a tube from a bladder while running, is it easy to remove the bottle to drink while you're running?

Hello, I noticed that at the level of the chest, the fabric of my t-shirt or vest is damaged a little bit by the effect of friction. But I don't feel the bag move during my sessions. I wear a size L (woman, 1.80m 105 cm chest size). Is this normal?
The elastic water bottle holders broke on both sides of my pack any ideas on what I can do when water gets low it falls down inside and that is useless
I never use these elastic holders because the bottles sit more secure (and can't bounce) when they are just inside the pocket. My bottles are the type with slightly flattened bottom- and filler area, they take 5 seconds longer to fill, but sit more comfortable on your ribs and are so easy to pull up , that I am hardly conscious of the fact that they indeed sometimes slide down a little.

Nice to finally see some examples of how I can put my poles. I usually go with a horizontal placement over the xhest and stomach, wasn't shown here.
Hard to imagine that not interfering with my arms swinging.
@donlibes you will have to try it if it's hard to imagine. Works very well for me. It depends on your pole length and body size i guess.

How are you supposed to drink from the flasks? Do you take them out to drink? If so, is it not tricky to get them back in whilst running? Thanks
I’m pretty sure you are just supposed to squeeze the silicone tip of the flask and drink, you can reach it without taking them out.

You dont have to remove the soft flask to drink when running, you juste need to bend a little bit your head and its perfect
