have had for about 2 years now, when im playing games intensively the main temp is around 65 average, but the junction temps go to like 70 - 90. is that normal or should i look into it

I started to test and 4.0 😁 even if is tbh isn't big deal between 3.0 and 4.0 if you don't have a cpu bottleneck

I don't recommended to buy rx 6500 xt if you have that cpu, minimum ryzen 7 3700 or 5600x or i5 11400

Depending on how much money costs you that upgrade.
Ryzen 3100 absolutely fine, just be shure that your motherboard is a520 b550 chipset that supports pcie 4.0, if not and your motherboard have pcie 3.0 you will loose about 15-20% of performance showed

Ofc not since this is with pcie 4.0, and generally i think that i7 8700 can handle it, maybe it cant cpu intensive games so 6500 will not be fully used, but anyway you will need this video.

If you need a new cpu you should get the i3 12100f. It's cheap and it's actually good enough for an rtx 3070 and maybe 4070, so maybe upgrade to the rtx 3060 12gb while you're at it. The rx 6600 and 4060 are also good, except I'd honestly go for the 3060 12gb due to the 50% extra vram.
