- A blizzard caught us on the road when we were about to return home. We had not gone half way when the weather turned completely bad and the way was cut off. I had to return to the stone house and urgently prepare for a cold night. Firewood, water and food supplies that we left earlier helped to wait out the bad weather

Imagine if you were in the cabin when the snow piles up in front of the door, and you're trapped inside. Doors should open inward in high snow areas.

4 months from now in January that's the weather we will be having in North Dakota. Stone freezing cold 🥶. Dress warm and stay warm.

I would already have had wood cut and stacked. Taking forever out in that cold and I’m sure the temp is - whatever!
That's what's good about firewood. It warms you up twice. Once while you're cutting & splitting it and once when you finally burn it.

That firewood should have been cut and stacked in much warmer weather. Then it would not have taken so long to start a fire in those frigid, windy conditions!!

If he planned that it might be snowing on a particular day at a particular time, he would have planned that was going to happen and cut the firewood beforehand. In this case, he didn't expect the weather to be bad like it was, so he cut nothing beforehand
I think the title of this video is VERY misleading: Survive comfortably in a snowstorm | Stone house sheltered from the cold and wind. This man is not very smart nor able to plan ahead. If you plan to come to your cabin in the weather seen in the video, it would behove you to chop and store a lot of firewood in your cabin prior to leaving it, OR be smart and not go to the cabin in this type of weather. According to the title of video, one would conclude he stayed inside most of the time. But this video depict s this man CONSTANTLY, CONSTANTLY, CONSTANTLY, looking for and splitting firewood. He had firewood buried in the snow he had to uncover. IMO, not a comfortable cozy time at the cabin. But then again, it's in Russia, enough said.
Я думаю, что название этого видео ОЧЕНЬ вводит в заблуждение: Комфортно выжить в метель | Каменный дом, защищенный от холода и ветра. Этот человек не очень умен и не способен планировать заранее. Если вы планируете приехать в свою хижину в погоду, показанную на видео, вам следует наколоть и хранить много дров в своей хижине перед тем, как покинуть ее, ИЛИ быть умным и не ходить в хижину в такую погоду. . Судя по названию видео, можно сделать вывод, что большую часть времени он оставался внутри. Но на этом видео этот человек ПОСТОЯННО, ПОСТОЯННО, ПОСТОЯННО ищет и колет дрова. У него были дрова, закопанные в снегу, которые он должен был выкопать. ИМО, не комфортное уютное времяпрепровождение в салоне. Но опять же, это в России, хватит.
