Izzy is way more respectful and intelligent than someone like Conor, who has never defended a belt and sucker punches old men on barstools. Even though humble fighters like GSP, Frankie Edgar and Mark Hunt have always been my favorite, I do realize the importance of self marketing in the fight game. Izzy has done a great job at marketing himself and creating hype, without turning into a degenerate like Conor.

The crazy thing about watching these two guys fight was how dangerous it seemed, like mma is always dangerous, anyone can get the knockout at anytime but the first UFC Izzy-Pereira fight just seemed so razor sharp, like any little opening and one of these killers is like BAAM!

i think if he sticks to his roots he is one of the best fighters out there. And on any day he can catch poatan. He needs to stick to his roots, of being a striker, who picks people aparts and catches them. The last fights i saw of him against canonier, against, whitaker he wasn't fighting like the Izzy that took the UFC by surprise and technically outclassed everyone. He exchanged a little in the fist round or two then it was cardio. He even got connected good against those fighters. Before there would have been no doubt who was winning. IT would have been adesanya winning and getting the best out of exchanges. In these fiths im not even sure izzy got the best clearly out of the exchanges, maybe 1 good round or 1 and a ahalf then cardioing it out. THe izzy that took the uFC by surprise and outclassed other fighters technically, was ready to go nd to pick fighters apart, in the exchanges and tecnically catch them anm. Those are his roots, thats the fighter i think he is, and lately it was more out cardioing people which isnt his game. I hope we see more of the adesanya that took the ufc by surprise and would pick people apart, cause i think thats his style, and we gotta honor who we are, and stay true and authentic to our identity, and express it. I pray Izzy can get this done. He is my favorite fighter. This is definitely the most serious we have seen him. The rivalry with Alex was actually needed to renew the hunger in Izzy, so Alex is part of his story actually like he always says. The subtle details in this video: he cut out his striking video during sparring, at a point when he was training his reaction time he was doing it with one eye closed, he his anticipating all scenarios, like what if he gets blind sided, he has to still be as effective. This will definitely be one of the best fights we have ever seen and the ref isn’t going to stop shit this time so we are definitely seeing a knockout or a submission. Good luck Izzy you are the man. I watch the UFC because of you, go get it. After this fight I believe IZZY is moving up to light heavyweight regardless of the outcome and I predict he will fight Alex again in Light Heavy weight.

One advice for Izzy, I was watching the prediction from fighters for the rematch, one fighter said after you won the belt, your mindset changed to defending the belt which you did 5x. If you go back to the mindset of winning the belt, you will win the rematch. That fighter chose you to win the belt back. I 100% agree. Change your mindset and the belt is yours.

It's more than just a mindset. Izzy had a great opportunity in the third to finish with a rear naked choke. Pereira left his neck open quite a few times. Practicing on submission is key. Izzy is a better technical fighter all around. Just needs to follow through. Even in the striking department Izzy was landing more. Just needed to follow through on all the feints as well. If he can't finish with striking in the first two. Then it's grappling and intelligent defense for the last three.

I was so tense the first fight. My neck was stiff, I was sweating and my muscles were aching. That fight felt dangerous, Izzy was dripping with sweat after 2 minutes. You could see and feel the tension.
