while you saw this video pls be reminded tht many restaurants are not as clean as you think, even high class restaurants. if you want clean food, make it yrself. maybe the guy in the video was not highly educated so he do not hv the sense of cleanliness, but people pls respect others and do not be rude, he made and decorated the cake by himself, by his own hand and tht is the most valuable thing for a chef (sorry for my bad english)
Hate to break it to anyone, but as a baker that has worked in bakeries and kitchens in North America, I've seen worse, hygiene-wise. I'm talking using the same rag to wipe down areas all day, and even seen employees wipe their nose with the same damn rag they wipe the counter with. Western standards are often just suggestions, and I'd eat the cake in the video just as soon as I'd eat any cake sold in a grocery store. It looks delicious and very pretty! Good job!
+Melissa Martel You said there often just standards but don't places get shut down if the rules aren't followed well enough? Those places that do so bad just haven't been caught.
+Joe Gutman I really wish! At the places where I worked, there were simply not enough inspectors and staff to make sure everything was up to the standards-and depending where you are it can fall on different levels of government to do the work. It's unfortunately the case pretty much everywhere until people complain enough to cause inspections to be done more often and in a more thorough fashion. I put a lot of faith in the people that prepare food and feel totalle safe as a consumer.
I first watched this 5 years ago and I was so depressed and broke at the time. Fast forward to this year 2020, my life is still the same and nothing's really changed. Plus add insult to injury is the covid19 stay at home quarantine. It is what it is.
I'm sick of all the people saying stuff about how the kitchen looks and all that. Do you know what its like to struggle, you people should be looking at how he made that cake so beautiful regardless of how the kitchen looks. Plenty of people on food network didnt even go to culinary school :/ they were just chosen for looks. The true cooks makes excellent food and the looks of it. the counter looks like that just because He probably uses it a lot, more than the average person.
+Tori Park Ma'am don't go jumping into conclusions, I was just adding to my point, no where in this says you need to go to culinary school to have talent.
"Plenty of people on food network didnt even go to culinary school" So what? They still have talent. It's not based on looks, I assure you. Plus, the kitchen is pretty unsanitary. He cut himself but still touched the cake! It doesn't matter how much talent he has, I would never want to eat that cake even if it looks like that. And because he uses it more than the average person the table looks like that? That's great but that doesn't mean it's any more sanitary.
I agree with Tori, very unhygienic and never want to go eat, doesn't matter he has talent or not what he does and how he does is matters, and other. and on top of it, what cake is that chocolate? Vanilla? strawberry? chocochip? white chocolate? dark chocolate? dark forest? I don't know what that is?
"Leaving the hygiene issue a side" I would say Brilliant!! so good to see a chef making such a beautiful cake without using any fancy tools and nozzles👍👍
It seems most of the commentators have never been to India. Well, the man is skilled, and he is doing a fantastic job with the few icing tools that he has. Yes, too many flies and the place does not look clean, but that is for the bakery owner to look into, not for his staff. Suggestion: You don't have to eat if you don't like the way it is prepared, but look and learn... most of you guys don't have culinary skills, I presume...it's easy to sit in front of a laptop and type venom....Live and Let Live
destiny stone Good for you, make the best of your skills, but leave the poor alone. They work in those miserable conditions to survive and support their families. At least he is working honestly.
The Challenger Gabriel Read my post carefully, I did not mention that I know him, but we are just normal Indians, going about our job, using our skills, whether culinary, banking, IT or in any field. He has skills, that is to be appreciated.
+Street Food & Travel TV India yes we can c how diffrent and disgusting indian cooking is! the icing for cake is being mixed on the table top. indians dont even bother to use bowls and different spatulas for diff icing application. how disgusting and unhygenic
Sanitation and sugar aside, it was pretty impressive that a fully decorated layered cake was assembled in such a short space of time. Wow. That is performance. That level of output is what you would expect from a factory. We actually WATCHED this person assemble this artistic cake from start to finish by hand. Hats off to you my man. I wouldn't eat it, but I do respect your skills. Take win.
You have earned my respect with your comment. It actually made me smile after reading some of the negativity and plain rudeness here. Wishing you a nice day :)

mashallah amazing skills, I have seen students from the culinary institute in New York that couldn't do half of this, although I do understand those who referred to the cleanliness of the place I think we should all agree that his skills are amazing, hats off to the baker and wish him the best
Can people honestly stop complaining about the hygiene. Don't judge through western standards. Environments are constructed by social and cultural factors. He's working with what he has, if it's not good enough for you then don't eat it.
that's called personal hygiene, one person's mistake doesn't account for the entire nation. When an American spits on the ground after smoking a pack of cigarettes, I wouldn't call the entire nation 'unhygienic'. All I'm saying is, every nation has their own standards of hygiene. If you don't concur, then move on. Nobody's forcing you to eat it.
beautiful work! For any of you complaining about it not being clean, you've obviously never been in a commercial kitchen. If this guy had been white and in America you wouldn't say a word
creative! I haven't seen any cake design like that in my country (Philippines). Watching this video, I think that Indians were very creative. Keep it up!
Shujingcai04...if I'm not mistaken u live in a province ...am I ryt???u haven't seen a design like this...cmmon ..it's not about how creative this indian ..it's about hygiene ...if u don't mind check the high caliber cake shops in Manila then u will find out.....way better than dis 1....
floyd boyles I lived in a city and I don't have any province. We have many bakery shops and cakes here. Most of our cakes were simple and affordable. Not filipinos can buy such cake like that. If that's possible, it's really expensive. For me, its good to see a cake like that in a country like India. That's made me happy.
Could everyone stop being so rude, that is a beautiful cake, yes. A few things may seem a bit unsanitary but that may be the cleanest cooking environment they could use, even if it wasn't this was a great video and at least this person could get places with those skills. Learn to support others, not point out the flaws and bring them down. Just because you have a big clean kitchen doesn't mean everybody else does.
the cake looks good. when he put that chocolate syrup on I just melted. lol. but tbh i was wondering what was in that bottle as well. kinda brown so i thought it was water from a river lol but turned out to be sugar water, yay! still, the slices of cake was so little. the whole cake looked so big because of all the cream that was stacked onto it.
Just a question, why mix the icing on the table? Is this a custom done throughout of India? It's very interesting and I really want to know the reason behind it! I'm sorry if it's sound rude but it really isn't my intention. I'm just really curious.
Thanks +Chattermute In Indian We have to types of Work Stations one is made from the Good Quality Stone for Kitchen and another is made from Stainless Steel. Steel is still expensive thing in India. So people make work station from polished and shiny stone special made for the Kitchens. It was a special station for cake making, So they where doing everything on them only. They clean it every day few times. But not at all the Places now most of the Indian Bakeries have Stainless steel work station and their own style of work. In The many US and UK TV series I have seen them working on the Station only. It doesn't mean they are dirty or People making Cakes in India are dirty. I think this method is easy for them or may be some other reason!
+Street Food & Travel TV India Im also wondering why he was mixing the white icing on the table before he put it in the piping bag?? was that to make the icing more fluffy or to make it smoother or something?? Very beautiful cake and done in just minutes too thats amazing!! Please dont be put off by and negative comments not all Americans are ignorant. :D
+SeXiLaVilleValo101 Hahaha! You are so funny! I thought I was the only one that had a house that looked like an icing bomb went off in it when I decorate anything :) :)
Sometimes we think we are so clean on the outside, so we frown upon others that don't do the things we do to keep "clean", but we are very dirty on the inside in our thinking. We think we are better than others because we know a different way of doing things, but in all actuality, when we look down on others in any kind of way, we are the unclean. The filth in our heads and heart is much worse than hands, utensils, and counters that are not washed. Learn to accept the fact that everyone does things differently in different countries. I appreciate the sharing of other cultures, and I thank God for them,
It's hilarious seeing people complain about the way this cake was made. The same people that eat at McDonalds and eat chicken, beef, and other animal products that are a million times worse for you than a cake. lol you can't be serious lmao
+Shauna Wang That's actually called synthetic cream, it's made with vegetable fats and emulsifiers made without any dairy, they whip paler in colour and much larger in volume. Most Asian bakeries tend to use them as it is a much cheaper (and more stable) alternative to dairy whipped cream. However this type of whipped cream has very high trans fat content that cannot be naturally digested by our bodies like dairy cream.
I haven't seen anyone who has said else wise. They just commented saying they wouldn't eat it because it's unsanitary. I agree with them. I also agree there are a lot of places in America that should never sell food they're so bad. It's not the country being spoken badly about, from what I've seen at least, it's the chef's lack of hygiene for his own food and service to his customers.
That's not, of course, taking into account the living situation for where he lives. I don't know much about India, but I can see why people wouldn't want to eat it.
The cake is pretty. I have problem with someone handling food with dirty fingernails & the base of the pedestal looks like it needs to be cleaned, it might just be old, not trying to insult him.
Dirty lump of wood used for template, cuts hand, licks it and then sticks it back on the cake, wipes the counter with a filthy cloth. It costs nothing to be clean!
you're so uneducated, smdh. it's a third world country. YOU try living there, struggling to stay alive and try to have three meals a day. ALL prepared food by restaurants/bakeries are that unsanitary, if not more. please educate yourself before you go and embarrass yourself on the internet
+varinia degenscheid I like how you think cleanliness and proper hygiene is for idiots. It's standard practice in preparing food so that people who eat those cakes would get any food poison. Standards need to be upheld whether you're in a first world country or in India. Would you buy his cake and eat it knowing he just licked his finger and touch that cake again? I'm not.
Through the power of editing! It's under 10mins. I still do enjoy watching cakes being decorated. Something satisfying about it, and then I feel kinda jipped too because its a pretty plain filling, but boy does the outside really sell it.
Just when I thought it looked perfect after he put the jam on top he kept going and going. I was like he must be done, then he kept adding more stuff. lol
ive gone back soooo many time to see this over and over again..i find this so satisfying to watch and its very creative..and although they make it fast and kind of messy..the finisged product is right on awesome
If you don't like the video, then don't watch it. You think Taco Bell, Burger King, Mc'Donald's is any cleaner or healthier? You people complain like a bunch of babies. Shut up already
Maybe for India standards, this is super clean- idk- all I know is this cake is really pretty and I really enjoyed watching him work!!! He really loves his job clearly !!! Well done mate! 👍🏻😀
Okay, i have to agree with those on the kitchen being unsanitary and unclean. I really payed attention to everything and i am disgusted. I would not eat anything from there. Flies flying around the cake can cause contaminated food which can cause illnesses. They used old bottles that looked cloudy which shows its unclean to wet the cake, there looked to be old crumbs and stains from past food in the back and possibly the front. So those complaining about those stating the truth please open your eyes. Yes the cake is beautiful but the grossness of it takes the beauty away as it looks unfit to consume.
Ugh, he didn't wear gloves and he cut his finger and was bleeding yet still continued to touch the cake!!! How vile. That puts people at risk if he has something! Yuck.
+Beautifulgirl 123 and also youre acting as if in american resturants are 100% clean.. i agree its unsanitary at some parts but thats doesnt make every bakery etc in india dirty.
Eyes Up Guardian same. I would say that out of the 100%, 75% of it was frosting. I mean, I would rather my cake have more cake than frosting. But I guess that's just my preference.
Exactly brother ! Whenever I cut these kind of cakes , the slice comes first is always 80% cream and 20% cake. In 1 pounds of these cakes , cream is around 200 grams and rest is the sponge.
yeah.. the presentation is nice but.. i hate to break this but.. HYGIENE is a must.. i can see rust.. and the table.. you just wipe it with a towel ..i cant seems to eat that..~ your nails are dirty too.. cant you use gloves? sorry but i want to be prank..
if your worried with bacteria..you don't need to 'cause your covered in it all over your body..It's more unhygienic if you find maggots in food like one macdonald inccident..there was even a rat..-_-
The table pretty much has tons of bacteria. When I seen the icying or frosting placed on the table. That's when I was disappointed. Even if the table was cleaned then the icying or frosting will be touching chemicals. Having to wash a bowl with soap very well is the way to do it. That table I don't know if its been cleaned or not. Doesn't matter if it were cleaned. If your going to cut a cake I preferred to cut it on a cutting board. Away from touching the table that may have a lot of bacteria.
The cake look fresh and good to eat but the preparation is worst ever seen....the man cut his fingers and continue to make the cake....and he bake the cream in the table...burkkk 😝
Thanks +goutham rockey Sorry but our intention is not hot show only bad things. We are showing reality and not saying them to prepare food in dirty conditions. We have also shown some places which are really clean and nice.
+Street Food & Travel TV India yeah. people complain when they're exposed to this stuff, when really they are only seeing a bit of what actually goes on in some kitchens.
I would totally eat that I don’t care about the damn hygiene, so I don’t care about getting sick really _(It’s the school’s fault for making me think that way)_

ikr it looks so effin neat if I did that well- I'd probably never decorate it. I'm just gonna shove some cake and buttercream/frosting in my mouth
It is sooooo amazing. I am speechless 😶
ALL prepared food by restaurants/bakeries are that unsanitary, if not more. please educate yourself before you go and embarrass yourself on the internet
so you think fast food is more cleaner?
+varinia degenscheid Its costs nothing to wash your hands and scrub your nails! That's not uneducated you fool, that's common sense!!!
I'm not.
don't even bother watching if your gonna hate you think these people really want a negative opinion ?
These cakes are amazing. The world's best cake makers are so glamerous and delightful and cool.
plz tell me I'm not the only one who saw that fly
you're not alone
+cha rosales +Maria Rodriguez yea!! I thought I was the only one too😂👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
...and the dirt under his nails?
+Mira M I think you're using a sniper eye too ... lol
it's a bee
i think im fat for just noticing cake and nothing else
No you are watching the video and not judging God bless u
threasa arangamparambil oh well that makes me feel better then
So think I'm fat too haha :v
Mariela Morales welcome to the party (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
+Bazark OMG NOT THE LENNY FACE
Omg what type of frosting do they use? It looks amazingly fluffy
I liked it with the plain red top and chocolate sides. Or that with a little white flower in the middle.
Me too! So pretty
i personally would eat it. only complaint I have is I feel like he over decorated it..
soo much sweet. its like a diabetes cake. eugh...
Luckypawpads right
Through the power of editing! It's under 10mins. I still do enjoy watching cakes being decorated. Something satisfying about it, and then I feel kinda jipped too because its a pretty plain filling, but boy does the outside really sell it.
I would like to let everyone know that this is Street Food, not a 5 Star restaurant.
Thanks +darkMAXIS227 Hey wow what a thought you have picked up. Very nice.
wew. no need to remind us. we know how to read. it was written right there
+Alex Dwight read through the comments and you will know what i mean.
it does'nt matter if it is a street food or not just one thing it need to be clean
+Test Time channel true.. guys have u noticed his ryt hand thumb finger nails n at 8.50 a big fly 😒😣😣😣
Just when I thought it looked perfect after he put the jam on top he kept going and going. I was like he must be done, then he kept adding more stuff. lol
Amazing nice cake
ive gone back soooo many time to see this over and over again..i find this so satisfying to watch and its very creative..and although they make it fast and kind of messy..the finisged product is right on awesome
i was wondering why the video is very dark.... then I realised it was my screen brightness
lolol same thing here
He’s done a pretty great job for what he has👍
The cake part looks like shoe leather. Doesn't look moist at all. I guess that's why they add the simple syrup.
Keeping it classy....
+mandicandy23 lol
00:46 didn't he cut his hand? 😞
Absolutely amazing!!
More like how to make a sad cake look pretty.Where's the love?
who else saw the fly
2× saw it my mother can cook cleaner but not tasty
Sorry mom...
Yes I saw the fly. Do you have a problem with that.
Disgusting
I saw 3 flies...Plus the dirty water in the bottle he's using to moisten the cake bread.
OU812 i4got thats sugar syrup dude
very very impressive...this makes me so happy
If you don't like the video, then don't watch it. You think Taco Bell, Burger King, Mc'Donald's is any cleaner or healthier? You people complain like a bunch of babies. Shut up already
If you don't like the comments, don't read them.
+Tori Park and if you don't agree with me, then shut the hell up
If you don't agree with me, then shut the hell up.
+Tori Park yeah good job repeating what I just wrote. Later loser
You don't get it, do you? If you don't agree with me, you don't have to read what I commented. Like what you've been saying.
Beautiful cake and detail...these comments are hilarious.
Maybe for India standards, this is super clean- idk- all I know is this cake is really pretty and I really enjoyed watching him work!!! He really loves his job clearly !!! Well done mate! 👍🏻😀
most of ya'll eat this cake if you dont know how its made
Very good skills of cake icing here, but... There is WAY too mutch decorations on the cake!! And the sugar\water bottle is disgusting...😖
He has done a great job... am completely satisfied with his work...
nice but..umm.. not really clean for me (-.-')
tHANKS +Miea Hannah Hey don't worry we will not going to force you. It is just for an Idea.
haha no worry.. maybe im just too sensitive to cleanliness. keep it up!
this looks unhygienic but can't stop watching it.. still awesome
awesome....... beautiful 😘😘😘😘😘
Yuck.
+K B I don't give a bloody fuck!
+XXCandy FlowersXX exactly!
+K B which part was he bleeding?
+Beautifulgirl 123 and also youre acting as if in american resturants are 100% clean.. i agree its unsanitary at some parts but thats doesnt make every bakery etc in india dirty.
Truth be told, it just hurts when I see the cake to frosting/cream ratio.
If the frosting isn’t too sweet then I wouldn’t have a problem lol. I hate overly sweet frosting tho
awsome man..!! i wonder how ppl spin the turn table so fast and make sure that the cake doesn't fall.. #skills #cool
can anyone please tell me what liquid is in the bottle, that the man puts on the cake?
Linkie Bredenkamp it's sugar syrup
Linkie Brenden it's to keep the cake moist
I watched the video then went to the comment section instead of admiring hard work all I see here is extreme racism and india bashing.
It's so beautiful
I love itt
yeah.. the presentation is nice but.. i hate to break this but.. HYGIENE is a must.. i can see rust.. and the table.. you just wipe it with a towel ..i cant seems to eat that..~ your nails are dirty too.. cant you use gloves? sorry but i want to be prank..
+Mathilde Ponten THEIR* YOUR*
They + are = They're. You + are = You're. :)
Their and Your are possessive, meaning "Their hands or Your hands" etc.
before you criticize others check your grammar first ;)
Hi frank!
if your worried with bacteria..you don't need to 'cause your covered in it all over your body..It's more unhygienic if you find maggots in food like one macdonald inccident..there was even a rat..-_-
great job but little bit dirty 😷
I have ate this cake and even got stunned by the way it is made
I agree its poor hygiene
Javier Rodriguez Why do you think? Can you explain plz.
Javier Rodriguez Thanks a lot for such a nice information.
***** right lol
***** Yes it is very true.
The cake look fresh and good to eat but the preparation is worst ever seen....the man cut his fingers and continue to make the cake....and he bake the cream in the table...burkkk 😝
Why let a little blood ruin his momentum ?? Lol
just amazing❤
I really have an issue with this chanel! There are lot of clean and hygiene kitchens there in india but why does he shoot the dirty ones?
Thanks +goutham rockey Sorry but our intention is not hot show only bad things. We are showing reality and not saying them to prepare food in dirty conditions. We have also shown some places which are really clean and nice.
+Street Food & Travel TV India yeah. people complain when they're exposed to this stuff, when really they are only seeing a bit of what actually goes on in some kitchens.
Yes! I absolutely agree with you!
no problem with that video! He's a good cake decorator!
i saw tiny flies flying around the chocolates and his working table is already getting rusty~
Is that a cake ???...the process is ended not clean, to much creams and overloaded design... I rather eat Oreo than this
Then why don't you eat a fucking oreo and not comment here at all
Wow...already eat 2 PCs of Oreo dude...hahahahaha
Lol that actually cracked me up XD
Lol
HAHAHA LOL
It's amazing!
i dunno dude... cleanliness comes first
Amen!!
***** o-okay
+WhiteCourtain Did you not see anything else?
+WhiteCourtain omg! you did not say that! Didn't you see anything else?
+WhiteCourtain there were flies having a gala time in those chocolate flowers that was already made.
Cake design is good but how they prepared it? i dont think so..
Wow...decoration superb👌👏
I would not eat that thing.
You rather eat shit eh?
+suvi justin shit as in fast food which is filthy aswell
suvi justin no, i was agreeing with you lol
i took the word "shit" from you thinking you meant fast food
+Vumlux
No one gives a fuck
you can eat McDonalds 24/7
Oh my god!i even want to quit eating cake if that's how it made!
Not all
I have never seen such a beautiful cake like this
I would totally eat that I don’t care about the damn hygiene, so I don’t care about getting sick really
_(It’s the school’s fault for making me think that way)_
