    All those interchangeability between Momento Zero and Furore was hilarious. Thank you for the video, Stephen. Amazing as always.

    Thank you for the review Stephen! For both the functionality and the beauty, the prices of these pens seem fair and a good value. I'm going to remember these - thank you again!

    Thank you for sharing Dr. Brown. Another interesting and well made video. I will have to add a Leonardo to my collection.

    Thank you for bringing this video to us, it was a nice start to my morning with the nib/blind cap swapping. Additionally, note, I found your ink for sale near me I now have the ink on my inky list.

    Interesting and entertaining comparison. Thanks in particular for including the prices, and your preferences; both help round out the info. That second stub really shines with your handwriting.

    Thanks, really appreciate this comparison of a wonderful pen line. My first (so far) is the Grande. I like a larger pen, too. It's really wonderful, even with just a fine steel nib.

    Awesome comparison! I am in the same boat as you with the Furore. I prefer that design to the "flat tops". I have that blue emerald in the Furore, and I will say that I have yet to see a video of that pen that shows off the depth of the swirls in the acrylic. It really one of those "better in person" pens. Thanks again!

    That's some quality B.s. right here. ;-) Thanks for the comparison - I also like the Furore, but can't decide between Emerald and the Orange one. I like your idea of a bigger version of it - maybe it gets picked up! :-) I will wait.

    Thank for this very useful overview! How would you compare the grip section of the Momento Zero with the one of The Noodler’s Ahab? They look similar from a distance.

    • @sbrebrown
      @sbrebrown  4 года назад +1

      They are similar, but the MomentoZero is a bit more angular

    Could you share how you increase the ink flow of those pens which you mentioned?

  • @chiarac358
    @chiarac358 4 года назад +1

    Did you floss the tines to make the nibs wetter or did you have to press the shoulders apart? Did any of the nibs need smoothing?

  • @JoelTurrell

    Isn't the Molteni Modelo 55S exactly the Furore Grande you want? You did a review, and it led me to buy the 55S in the marbled scarlet w/gold nib. I LOVE it, and it will go to my grave with me. And the service from the boys in Miami was superb (on all the pens I have bought from them). Go ahead, try it, you'll like it! The 55S is longer than my M1000 , my 149, and even my Conway Stewart Churchill. But, it's sleek and svelte, not at all clunky, a sweet Italian with the thorough quality of a German. (All 9 of my Matrone pens are like that.)

    Beautiful pens. I thought that the Positano was a lighter blue, almost azure or sky blue. Here, it looks more of a light teal, dark turquoise. Is it just my screen? I was thinking of getting the Positano, but am unsure about the color now.

      Try Monteverde Brown with ITF--great color very similar to what you see here. The bottle is not as fancy, but it is much more affordable and widely available.

    I would really love to see use slow down a little bit and write a little more efficiently. I know you like to demonstrate that you have the fastest writing on the Internet but on the rare occasion that you do slow down a little bit for safe flex nibs I feel like it displays what that Penguin do for the ink better and it's also much nicer visually to see the nicer handwriting. For me personally one aspect of fountain pen writing I genuinely love is how different nibs affect different inks and it's a little harder to see that when you're writing extremely fast. I know I'm just one person writing what some people will call a hate comment or trolling or something stupid but I do love your videos I love fountain pens I love fountain pen ink and I would just be intrested in seeing what you can do if you slow down and focus just a little bit more. Thank you and I love you

    • @rztour

      Well...Stephen does fit a lot into these review and so I think the pace is usually appropriate. Although when he does single pen reviews with nibs that have nice variation, it IS fun to watch him accentuate it by slowing down. You’ll appreciate it more during individual pen reviewa if you watch often.
