Is it possible for the steering wheel to be upside down? When I put it in the right position the wheels either are both turning left or right but when the steering wheel is upside down the wheels are close to being straight. Great videos very informative.
If your steering wheel is upside down, then you most likely have damage to steering components. Inspect everything and fix what you can. Then do the alignment to get your toe set correctly. Then remove the steering wheel and reinstall it in the correct position.
Always great videos. Do you know if the clutch kit on a 2021 Yamaha cart will help with climbing. My cart does fine on level ground but struggles once I hit a hill
I aligned my cart now when driving I get sudden jerks to the left and right. Could this be steering gear box? Also how lose should the tie rod ends be I can unbolt from the piece made to bend and just wiggle both sides easily.
The tie rod ends should have some resistance. If they just flop around, they may need to be replaced. It sounds like you may have not gotten your alignment correct as well. Replace the worn parts and try again.
It is possible to straighten the steering box mounting plate. Just remove the steering box first and try to get the plate as flat as you can with a hammer. Then shim with washers if needed.
Hey Jonas, I've got a clunking sound coming from my Yamaha Drive2 PTV upon deceleration or no load situations like going down a hill. Is there a fix for this? It is a '22 model and has made this sound since new. Could it be the motor bumper?
I’ve had my G29 for 3 years. Have had issues with the outer tie rod coming loose from the threads on the gearbox. I understand how the jam nut works. Why is this happening? Doesn’t seem to have enough threads to hold and have it properly aligned.
Sorry, but that is not an issue that I have ever heard of before. I would guess that you have an issue somewhere and may need to replace the gearbox assembly. If your cart has a lift kit that could be causing some issues too.
If you wanted a DS why did you buy a G29? We switched from club cars to yamaha about 10 years ago because they quit making the DS and we couldn't find truckloads of DS anymore that were in decent condition. 95% of the DS carts out there now are either worn out and need a bunch of work or have already been refurbished and are over priced. After switching to the yamahas I feel they are a better cart overall, but the new quietechs are hands down the best gas cart ever built.
@@PowerEquipmentMan i wasn't sure what i wanted to be honest. Everyone praised club car ds in the forums. Mine has the wet brake which i hope holds up. I'm about to change the fluid which i don't think was ever done. It has the speed code which is nice but sucks because it pretty much eliminated the regen or atleast i can't feel it. Wanted it to help brake on hills. Now I'm going to have to do the alltrax controller upgrade.
@@PowerEquipmentMan I noticed my camber is more negative now that 3" lift was put on then taken off. Do they come this way from Yamaha? I don't remember it being so negative before (tread shows it wasn't negative before lift).
@Just_Joe71 I've got a 6" spindle lift that i installed and it sent my camber way off as well. Would love to figure out how to fix it as well. It's crazy that they don't compensate for this when they manufacture the lifts!

Another great video
Great video thanks man
Thanks for watching!

Wife ran mine into a ditch. My steering box is a little wonky. Could I just shim the one side up with washers. Or should I take it to a dealer?

Where do you buy your parts from?, sounds dumb I know but I am having a hard time finding a 2019 drive 2 knuckle arm.
There is a link in the description above for replacement knuckle arms. The Drive2 uses the same knuckle arm as the Drive1/G29.
My 2023 ptv came from the factory toed out in the front. It tracks straight. Do u think that was a mistake? It looks weird to me.
As long as it handles well and doesn't start to wear out the tires abnormally, I would just leave it alone.

I have not heard of any common issues like that. Maybe a belt issue? I would recommend taking it back to the dealer, it should be under warranty.
@@PowerEquipmentMan Thanks, don't have the ability to take it back to dealer (out of state). Where is the belt on a Li powered drive2?
@@gatgolf Sorry, I was thinking it was gas powered. I don't have any info on electric carts. Good luck!

@@PowerEquipmentMan no lift kit. I replaced the gear box. Threads strip. It pulls out. Idk. Dang I was hoping you could answer that.
Thanks tho!
One of my rear tires eats the corner off the tire more than any other tire on the cart. I see no way to correct this on the rear. Help please.
It is most likely worn bushings on the rear hub that need to be replaced.
Would a G14 have the same 1/4 inch difference between the front and the back of the tire?
Yes, that is pretty standard for any model of golf cart.
Give me a reason to keep my 2013 G29 I just bought instead of selling it and getting a Club Car ds like I wanted.

Can you adjust the Camber on the drive 2?
No. If your camber is off you likely have damage or need new shocks.
@@PowerEquipmentMan I put a 3" lift on mine and the camber is off. Is this something I have to live with?

My rear wheel isn’t aligned what could it be??
