    I think his reaction is actually pretty mild. Given the severity of what they did, they could have been brought up on charges.

    4 soliders sent into another country and a shit storm out numbered and out gunned while their back up and support were watching tv instead of each being on high alert till those 4 soliders were safely brought home all distractions such as tv internet etc need to be banned till those in danger are brought home...and yes all those watching tv while members of their team died should be court martialed

    Every single one of those officers should be court marshal. What they did is not okay. They ignored their job for a stupid game. They put lives at risk for a game. That is not okay. This may be a movie but this makes me so mad.

    Spoiler Alert.
    I saw the movie, and the even crazier thing is the colonel knew there was high risk operation going on the whole time. He sent Reaper home just a few hours ago (while the game was still going on) because he was working too hard.

    A more impactful way of writing this scene would’ve been “It wasn’t my pregnant wife this time…it was to call off the last air strike that would’ve killed our operators still in the field while you all are too distracted watching the game. We’re in communications damn it! So if you don’t mind…*Smash tv* Can we get back to our fcking jobs!

      Their whole workplace should be a secure compartment. That means no mobiles, pagers etc.

      Those workspaces are typically VERY secure and limited in what forms of communication and social media are allowed in. It is fully possibly a team might only be allowed a single landlines as their communication in a given space, due to security, but this is rare.

      @@brairag5744 secured forms of communication like satellite phones, phones with encrypted lines are always available in these kinds of facilities. If data leak was a concern, that phone in the rec was not a very reliable one either.

    I know these guys are in the break room and all that stuff so you know they’re allowed to relax, but these scenes always irritated me. Not for what Russell Crowe’s character did at the end here. But the fact that these guys were all so absorbed in their sports match that not only did they leave the phone off the hook or turned the ringer off. But even after being told about the operation that was happening, they still didn’t change anything.
    Now I served in the army so I didn’t do this kind of thing. I was just a regular grunt. But regardless the behavior of all of these individuals, especially the commanding officer is just absolutely appalling. I know they’re human beings. But that doesn’t change the fact that they all basically behaved like a bunch of frat boys. and things like this reflect poorly on the rest of the military.

    Ummm… Tennessee never made it to the elite 8 when Kyle Alexander and Grant Williams were on the team…
    Props to them for playing Down the Field (Tennessee’s actual fight song) instead of Rocky Top… even though Rocky Top is what the pep band plays after basketball wins.
    Even Hollywood can’t stand Tennessee being relevant in sports for once 🤦🏻‍♂️

    So Crowe got out of line, back to his car which was parked in a parking structure, drove, went through gate security, parked again, ran through a building and stopped a missile strike in 1:49 ? If this movie couldn't get anymore ridiculous.

      She is wearing an OCP uniform with U.S. Air Force branch tape. She is wearing the U.S. Army Staff Sergeant rank. Completely wrong. She is also wearing all USAF patches. Wardrobe got the rank wrong. No way the Air Force has an Army Staff Sergeant, as an enlisted aircrew member to operate sensors and guide weapons for the MQ-9.

    Weak story line. 20 year plus Captain that's way beyond retirement age. He is easily over 50 more like 55. Extremely overweight with a shaving profile. Not in Uniform wearing some half military half civilian get up. The Staff Sergeant is in the Air Force and she is wearing an Army rank. I really can't see the Air Force controller doing a HALO and not being qualified. I didn't know the UH-60 was pressurized. Why would the need oxygen when they opened the door, but not on the flight at 15k

      In reality this would be court martial for the Colonel and at the very least Article 15 and admin separation for everyone else in that room.

    whomever the casting director is should be court-martialed. You have Army Ranks on Airforce uniforms. You have a so-called Captain who is not even wearing a uniform and about 200lbs overweight and no shave. Come on guys if you are going to make a military movie at least get the uniforms right. It kills the feal when you see sht like that.
