There aren't Quality Engineers because the Syllabus is very very outdated.... A college isn't about completing 4 yrs and handing the Degree. They should be trained, well groomed so that they face interviews confidently...
Nevertheless, exams in India are to check student's memories, not their knowledge... Very unfortunate...

private colleges are donating 80-90% marks at ease which student don't deserve. Student dont have basic knowledge of there subjects how they will get job in that case. There should be regular monitoring committee who can check the quality of education in these private colleges.

All colleges in India should be closed. Education should be only till 12th standard. After that people should join as trainee in companies. They will earn more than engineers after 4 years of period as trainee.

there are very few companies compared to the number of students, and companies don't have time and money to train thousands of trainees
that's why we have colleges, so companies don't need to waste time to train the employee
but colleges today have very bad quality of education
i am also a final year engineering student. in my college most of the student are getting campus placement.. some of my friends who are studying in private college,,once i asked them about some basic mechanical engineering software like ansys, autocad, solidworks etc. but their reply was very simple that is they did not even hear these name before and they are also mechanical engineering student...can you imagine a student from mech. department dont heard these words..this the reality in private engineering college.

sir i like your research on the deteriorating conditions of engineers in india but beside this you should also mention the number of technical vacancies govt of india has released in 2-3 years our govt is equally responsible for this sever condition of engineers. there are lots of engineers who have build up their technical knowledge but they don't get enough opportunity to show their talent and as far as private company is concerned they always ask for reference for recruitment. jai hind jai bharat.

The college passed guys are not eligible to work in industry , they are not up to industrial level.
Even I can say teachers also not up to mark in private college.
College TPO even don't know how to interect with company and invite them for hiring students.

They invite and do several things to attract students by giving offer of free study,bus ,hostel after admission they take all the money from them.

Engineering college mein zyaadatar students sirf degree ke liye jaate hain. Kaafi saare students sirf cheating ke bharose parr hi hote hain. Agar cheating karva ke paas karvaoge toh saare college ki seat bhar jaayengi. Lekin cheating karke paas hone vaale students ka koi faayda nahin hoga.

there is a major reason behind it, due to various engg. college affilated by universities in past few years and the authorities didn't evaluate the Institute before giving the permission to open a new engineering college.
in those Institute, only there are lack of practical knowledge.

ye galti hamare politician ki hai Jo itne sare college khol lete hai paisa kamane k liye. 40 ,45 percent pe admission de dete hai. college ka grade badane ke liye student ko practical, project , viva, external , internal me bhar bhar ke marks de dete hai jisse college ka grade bad jata hai. students bhi first class ki degree paakar khush ho jate hai, fir bure haal ho jate hai .
AICTE is shutting DOWN the Engineering Colleges in INDIA just because some colleges do not have sufficient number of LECTURE HALLS as compared to the intake seats admitted by engineering college,

2. there are so many privet institutes gives low quality education and takes higher fee.
ultimately education becomes a huge business for a group of people.
3. no practical knowledge and syllabus are also not updated.
4. govt gives less important to the education system and the political leaders working to
increase of there walled balance and works on to be continue on power.
5.many students main intention to get there degree only.
6.lack of industry and job opportunity leads to unemployment.
7.unqualified teacher (the most important factor)

In Pakistan the situation is inverse to India. My three sons r Engrs. Two r imployed at Pakistan and one is at multinational in Dubai. Now-a-days, in Pakistan Engrs r being produced over than their actual demand so the similar problem is not far also here. The authorities responsible to address this on coming problem must probe into it.
