    he ran it 3x ...9.68 USA championships 2008, 9.69(9.71) Berlin 2009, 9.69 Shanghai... So it wasn't a one time thing.. Aside from that he ran 9.74 multiple times beating Blake more than 5x

      I still think he was the most dedicated ever...bolt was a freak, tyson was simply pure brillance

      How does 9.71 become 9.69? Not even the IAAF reocrded that. Try again.

      @littlebendixon93 3 года назад +2

      The 9.68 was heavily wind aided so I wouldn’t really count it in that regard

      Tyson was Kobe, Bolt was Shaq with Jordan’s resume

    If Tyson Gay could improve his start, he could seriously threaten usain's world record.

  • @headach203

    If he would've had a good start you would be looking at a new world record

      So what if Tyson Gay had everything he has now but Ben Johnson's starting ability?

    He had the potential to beat bolt in his peak ..injuries of 2008 olympic nd 2011 coast him when tyson was in his peak .

    • @TheoOJamaloO1
      @TheoOJamaloO1 6 лет назад +2

      rishabh Raj I don't know about beating but it would have been close.. Bolt got DQ in 2011 World Champs anyways .. I think 2013 was the best time for gay to beat bolt in moscow but then he got tested positive

    • @rishabhraj9573
      @rishabhraj9573 6 лет назад +14

      Yeah you are right 2013 was good time to beat bolt..but its very hard to motivate yourself this long . when you are working hard frm decades and getting injured before the olympics and more dissapointing when you are running like 19.58 in 200 m and 9.69 in 100 m before injury .frm 2009 frm 2011 was when he was running this lightning timings ..tht 2011 hip surgery ..was worst for him.where he again learn to walk basically he again started from zero. in less then 1 year he gave a timing of 9.80 in finals .i dnt care it was with dope or not .i still respect him fr this.life had been hard for him ..his daughter also got killed in shootout but tyson again showed his tough character by getting back on track this shows his mental toughness .sports is just not about winning gold or breaking record ..its much more then that .i know no 1 gives a damn what could had happen but i tell you if he didnt get those injuries frm 2009 to 11 .our golden boy usain could have faced real compettition.

    • @TheoOJamaloO1
      @TheoOJamaloO1 6 лет назад +3

      rishabh Raj yeah I know all of them things haha I'm a big tyson gay fan too. He said that he got let down by someone who he trusted thats why he got tested positive and I believe him that

    • @TrueFactFrenzy
      @TrueFactFrenzy 6 лет назад +1

      rishabh Raj he was great competition for bolt and sometimes only it was him pushing bolt. Bolt admitted this too.
      Bolts world record in Berlin 9.58 only had Tyson gay near him at 9.71.
      Anyway Tyson was a more technically sound sprinter as he was 5’10” and basically ran faster than anyone. Bolt is only faster because of his height and therefore stride. He has an unfair advantage some may say. Tyson remains 2nd fastest in history with 9.69 anyhow!!

    • @jomohector5274
      @jomohector5274 4 года назад +1

      Not in Championships after 2007, Bolt is the reason for his injuries he was going too hard to try to catch up to Bolt’s Speed, he’s not the only one Blake Dix, Bolt was just a Destroyer!! 2013 Moscow Bolt was in his best shape since 2008-2009 he would’ve ran sub 9.7 may be around 9.61 if he didn’t false start. No one was beating bolt then, their best chance was Beijing 2015 when he had an awful season! And of course 2017 when he really retired and didn’t train at all, and should’ve ran the 200 instead of the 100(2017)

  • @dhnsh1843
    @dhnsh1843 6 лет назад +8

    Bolt and Gay are the only two humans to surpass 44kmph speed limit. Unlike other Sprinters who reach their topspeed in about 55-60m ... They reach it around 65-70m mark.

    Ben Johnson’s start + Asafa Powell’s drive phase + Usain Bolts top end speed = 9.3/9.4?

      candy but that was outside with the help of the wind.. coleman run indoors with no help of the wind

    • @BreuckelensFinest
      @BreuckelensFinest 6 лет назад +1

      candy Outdoors and indoors are completely different! Everyone usually runs much faster outdoors bc of the air quality as well as wind. Outdoors don't count for indoor records. End of story.

    You should do an analysis of Asafa Powell's 9.72 or 9.77 runs

    he is the only man in history to complete the 100 metres in under 10 seconds, the 200 metres in under 20 seconds and the 400 metres in under 45 seconds

    • @Performancelabofcalifornia
      @Performancelabofcalifornia  3 года назад +3

      That is crazy. He is so underestimated because he ran at the same time as Usain Bolt the best sprinter ever.

    • @TheGrandmaster1
      @TheGrandmaster1 3 года назад +2

      What about Wayde van Niekerk and Michael Norman? I thought they also did that. And I would bet you Noah Lyles and Justin Gatlin could (Or could have in Gatlin's case, not sure about now) but I can't find 400m times for them.

    • @littlebendixon93
      @littlebendixon93 3 года назад +3

      Wayde Van Niekerk and Fred Kerley have both done sub 10 100m, sub 20 200m and sub 44 400m

      They are moving so fast it really doesn’t make that big of a difference.. At the lowest 9.67 would be my guess.

    Gay ran better in other meets. His splits show it. His top speed was 10m for 0.815s. bolt ran 0.805. Gay ran his 9.69 because he had 2m/s tail wind, and nandrolone. This is a drug aided 9.85 when converted to still conditions.

      He's right what? About the legal wind or the Nandrolone? Gay did not get a positive test till 2013. This race was in 2009.

    Why can’t Tyson run this fast now?

    • @KmKryptonian
      @KmKryptonian 6 лет назад +10

      gothops because he is old and over the hill. His last chance at glory was 2013. He finally was Injury free, but then got busted for drugs and that was pretty much all she wrote.

      gothops $12m is his net worth. He is the second richest in track and field after bolt. Bolt has $65m
