Chaffetz seems to enjoy posturing. There's plenty of blame to go around in this fiasco. Laying most of the blame on the EPA administrator is a stretch. The Flint plant operator and people at the state level in the MDEQ were closest to the problem and failed to respond quickly to the complaints of Flint residents. It did not help that Flint had an appointed emergency manager. It was too easy to dismiss the complaints of the residents of Flint who were mostly poor, black, and Democrats. They lacked voice in Lansing.

Doesn't the water get tested on a scheduled basis (For example once a week) and when there is a potential problem ? On another note, this reminds me of the constant emails I sent regarding the victimization that has almost destroyed my life ! The crimes are REAL, I have suffered financially for it, and the emails were ignored ! Not only my emails were ignored, but certain individuals laughed in my face !! #lawsuit

coming off a sewage plant, the suspended solids should be less than 15 parts per million and the biological oxygen demand should also be less than 15 parts per million and distilled water should be pure H2O with no suspended solids and no oxygen demand

Chairman from house lannister was powertrippiiinn. EPA isnt confused, its just him. he just didnt like the fact that she didnt bow and kissed his feet. He completely lost every logical arguments and tried to make her "repent!".... so funny how he kept pulling out documents, to "add for the record", which he thought was going to prove that she was lying. Instead those evidence only backfired in face when she explained that completely misunderstood he actual nature of those messages. on top of that he was completely off with his facts.
Next time do your homework, or at least listen to the answers to your questions or else you mind as well not waste so much time wth hearing if you already know all the aswers.
Why did the EPA only start moving after Virginia Tech did all the lab work with the residents. EPA didn't respond to the City until everything hit the fan. EPA doesn't take any blame.
