Just watched all of this vlog, finally. You know, everyone talks about how much courage it takes to start a pilgrimage, but no one talks about how much courage it takes to stop when you know it's not right for you. Thanks so much for showing us what you did. This Camino is still on my list for one day. Absolutely gorgeous footage, like always. It does look pretty lonely, though. If I ever do it, maybe I'll go with other people. Thanks again, Efren. You're the best.

Thank you Susan. I was on the fence and it could have gone either way. In the end it worked out for the best as I got a flexible part time job once I made it home.

This is one of the most beautiful and moving videos I’ve seen you do, Efren. Thank you. I promise to do everything in my power to help you complete this walk. You have some amazing towns still ahead. Please put me on your calendar from mid-Sept to early October and we’ll make it work. Meantime, thanks for your inspiring footage and presentation.

I can feel the pain climbing the mountains ,I’m with you

It wasn't so much the climbing as the lack of support and pilgrims.

Wow, wow, wow. Would love to incorporate this pilgrimage, as done by Saint Francis, all the way to Santiago. As always, thanks for your insight, videos AND music. Ciao!

Fantastic Efrén, chapeau to you for taking all the time out to film and take us with you whilst having to trudge up through the mountains. Indeed the magic of the Camino is in my opinion the People that you mee along the way. ¡Buen Camino y Salud!

Wow, Efrén. Busy day of posting! Loving the scenery, but for me, and I believe you, part of what makes the camino (or caminos) so special is the community of pilgrims formed. I think I would find this one very lonely.

    Well done.
Once again, just great. La Verna is a very special place. There is though a pilgrims accommodation (13 places) that is a lot cheaper. [Night, dinner and breakfast at 35€ or 27€ (if take way dinner)].
Looks like you did not walk "the loop" in La Verna, inside the forest (not the one when you arrive there, but the one around the sanctuary leaving right from the right side, after the stairs and going up and up and then back to the Sanctuary. It´s unmissable (but sounds like you missed it).
Wating for the 3D footage on Via Francigena.

Hi Maria. I did the walk around la verna. It was nice. The 3d of the via francigena did not happen but maybe when I bike from Rome to Santiago next year.

Efren this series is so awesome. Are you going to post the remaining video of the trip? I'm assuming you made it. Hope to see the video soon... Thanks for the vicarious life you have given me. I might not live long enough to get to do the Camino but it will be my first stop when I'm free of this rusting hulk of a body. If treatments go well I might still make it. Thank you.

@@Walk_with_Efren my brother and I have just done from Florence to Assisi May this year. There were more people we met on the way than you have met, made some great friends too, but still not many people. The walk into Assisi was amazing.

Did you end your walk at LaVerna or continue on to Assisi? My husband and I walked from LaVerna to Assisi this fall and found the walk quite challenging and as you mentioned fairly isolated. I would be interested to know your impressions of the walk moving forward from LaVerna.

I stopped at la Verna. I will finish the trip sometime in the near future.
