When I got this for Christmas in 1996, it was one of my favorite gifts ever. I've always loved the Grinch. Growing up, every time I heard the MGM lion roar, I immediately thought of the opening of this
I actually never owned an MGM VHS. It was mostly Disney
This opening to How the Grinch stole Christmas 1996 vhs is more like it!😱😇
I remember owning this copy of the special as a kid.
I'm a huge MGM champion because I overcome my fear of it when I was 10 years old. The roller coaster version scared me as a little kid.
I've seen the Grinch special a few times on TV and two occasions on this VHS! I'm going to rent it on Netflix DVD this week to get ready for the holidays. Not one of my favorites but sometimes I cannot resist a classic.
I got this on DVD when it was my childhood
when the grinch animated special had the original sponsor it had music you can never hear in later airings

"DR.Suess' How The Grinch stole Christmas an Mgm tv picture in asscociation with CITHP(Cat in the hat productions from Patie-Freleing) Voices:Boris Karrloff:The Grinch, narrator, and the singer (1969)
Singer is Thurl Ravenscroft aka Tony the Tiger, Dinseyland Train announcer and a Grimm Grinning Ghost too! Plus a ton of other Disney songs where there is a terribly low bass.
I just got the DVD Gift set of this animated special that I found at Walmart which was the last one! (Lucky Me!)
Good one Master Hand.

I was scared of the roller coaster MGM/UA home video thing when I was a tot because I was afraid that Leo would come out of that thing and try to eat me
He would also have to get though your TV screen 📺 too, lol. 😂
@@shaneomacdaddy right and that is what I was afraid of
@@gameshowfanatic9311 Yeah, I understand. There was also the fear 😨 of the Viacom V of doom coming out of the screen, hence the nick name.
