    Personally I think Big Boi and Andre 3000 are both stars. They both bring different things to the table that make them the biggest rap group of all time. I also believe that people could put a little bit more respect on Big's name for the bars that he brought. That's how I feel.

      💯! There aint but ONE Big Boi and ONE Andre 3000! They bring different things to the table. There was as bright a light on them, as a GROUP, as there has ever been on any group. There aint nothing wrong with a light shining in different ways. They great separate, but IMMORTAL together!

      And what Dre is worried about is what if you don't like it like you think you will. If you think about it 3k can spit deep bars but he can't rap on some fly shit like Big Boi. Can you really imagine 3k battle rapping or inna Cypher like big Boi or Killer Mike or Goodie Mob could

    • @lo-lifecntral2789
      @lo-lifecntral2789 3 года назад +5

      @@djb9229 uhhhh fuck yeah. Organized Noise talked bout him and Big boi going off for half and hour straight, so yeah cypher and alt that definitley wouldn’t be no Big thing for him.
      And southernplayalisticadillacmuzik has him doing both his natural thought provoking wise bars, and straight fly “playalistic” style.

      Pats Good well I disagree I guess, is Fetty Wap a star? No I wouldn’t say but he was at one point. Idk 3k’s situation b I’m waaaay outside of the OutKast community but from my point of view there’s silence when it comes to 3k bc I’ve heard no mention of him In a long time so I wouldn’t consider him to be a big star at the moment. That’s just me, maybe he’s got a bunch of stuff going on idk about. That Ellie girl is a star at the moment...Adele is not so much. That’s how I see it. I guess here all star by default but I mean they have their time when they shine the brightest and some shine brighter than others

    • @patsnation8427
      @patsnation8427 4 года назад +12

      @@Hunter2847 😂😂 idk why Fetty came up. You proving my point tho. He's not mention because he doesn't care for the limelight but he's definitely a Mega Star just last year random ppl were seeing Andre in general population in NY walking around more than often & every time someone post it on social media & it easily became a trending topic every time. Another example DRAKE(arguably the biggest Artist in the world) & Lil Baby drop a record last year & it got over shattered by Andre 3000 who drop a song of him singing & mostly playing a flute it sent social media into frenzy. Every time he drops a guest verse it sends Hip Hop Culture into a frenzy. That's Mega Star status.

    I respect this brothers opinion I agree with some of what he said but not all. Andre is Great. Big Boi is Great. I don’t think he was putting down Dre at all. He said it right what one didn’t have the other had. That Gemini and Aquarius connection. That’s why the name Outkast fit. They were two sides of the same coin. Big Boi doesn’t get enough props. Andre even admitted Big is a better MC. That can be debatable. It depends on who you gravitate more towards. Personally I don’t separate the two. Yes Big Boi has solo albums. But when those two link together it’s magical. Aquemini is my favorite Kast album. That was the perfect complement to their greatness.

The song that did it for me was Da Art of Story Tellin’. I’m from Philly they played it on a format called make it or break it. If callers vote to break it they wouldn’t play it on the show. The Love below was classic if you want to accept that as a solo album. Dre's wordplay is simple, common, and clever to listeners which is relatable; while Big's wordplay is more complex and whimsical ( two midgets in the back seat wrestling). They are both Stars in my book!! We all love OutKast.

    Ken,I have to disagree with you on this one. As a 40 year old who discovered Outkast in 1993 in the 8th grade, I do believe that Dre is a star whose exceptionally talented or vice versa. The thing that you may not account for is Dre is an introvert so what you were saying about the light is true. Dre does not seek attention Big Boy became the personality yes, but after the ATLiens album people were tuned in to hear the music and to see what Andre was going to wear. Dre wrapped circles around most artists for about 10 years. The love below was unquestionably the best album of the year, it was Dre's solo performance and he changed the shade of the light, so there was no exposing any flaws

      @@mrscooteranderson935 but Andre is only comfortable when he can rely on bigboi . Andre needed bigboi to do the movies they did together. When andre had to do a movie on his own (jimi Hendrix) he did not have the dedication. And when de la soul wanted to do an album with outkast , it was dre that didn't want to do the project. Now he lives in New York, searching for himself. I understand why he's searching for himself

    In my 35 yrs on this planet my wisdom has risen, but many room to grow, yet I have grown accustom to seeing grown brothers and sisters who describes ppl places and things in a elementary manner....he even slows down his speech like he was saying something spectacular...he didnt break down his position with proper context....dre is a mystery because he doesn't allow many to peak into his window...I could never call a man great but somehow find a way to devalue them...grow up brother...and I dint say that because I'm "salty"...but why bring this up now with NO POINT TO IT BTW...this platform doesn't even respect dre to allow this meaningless slander

    This made me emotional. This dude has relevant points about the difference between an artist and an entertainer but his verbiage is wrong and he is clearly skewed toward entertainers rather than thought leaders. He’s a feeling dude. But for those of us who think first, “Naw bruh, Andre is a conduit of higher ideas, then pleasure.”
