i really like this format, its fun to watch, it seems the players enjoy it, and honestly, the coolest part imo is that while these guys have likely played with each other in ranked, maybe they havent really played together for extended periods in comms in this style, and maybe they make new relationships or teams in the future based on this in their mind

I love these, I get to lay down in bed and watch a movie long 1v1 between the best players of each reason. It's like watching rlcs but hosted by my favorite caster (pro 1s addict), and there are no breaks.
Having just watched the French games, this is such a different feel than the EU players its crazy
I much prefer EU 2v2 over NA 2v2 at least as a spectator. That being said I prefer NA 3s over EU, but I may be biased there.

Hey Johnny, I have been watching your content for a long time, and there's something I would like to do for the Middle-East region. I'm willing to give up to 1000$ on this project. We should do a tournament with Rule One in it against Europe's best. Just to show the world that they are here, just like SRG did a few years ago. This would be so cool if this was the beginning of a tournament or something, seeding for the tourney and across all regions you pulled everyone together for a big twos tourney. I think twos is way underrated but you can showcase so much more of your abilities with a little more time and space so I think twos has a similar advantage to ones where players can showcase their abilities more consistently

I know people like NA style where aerial plays are favored, but I found Europe more exciting because NA tends to default to airdribble 50s all the time, and them rotating out often to grab big boost makes for redundant back & forth sometimes, and found that kind of thing happening a lot less in the Europe version
I wish they would smooth out the dropshot floor. Ball hits a tile edge every now and then and bounces straight up, catching everyone off guard.
I’d love to see a version of this with players who play in NA but moved from elsewhere. It wouldn’t be fair to include them in their respective countries, as there would be a pretty significant ping difference. AppJack, Noly, Yan, Lostt, crr, Reysbull are a few great examples, although, I’m sure I’m forgetting some other top quality players who would fit the description as well. I’d also love to see a finale of all of the winners of each country/region playing in one match. The ping would be difficult but switching between servers every few games could work, or even a lan if the series becomes big enough. Great video tho, great series too. I’m glad LJ won as so many people were doubting him for whatever reason. Bro broke the 2v2 mmr world record and apparently isn’t good enough because he’s not a top 3s player? LMAO I’m glad he got the chance to prove that strange logic very wrong.
Edit: Also, I think the MENA 2v2 mix up should be re-done tbh. I think Johnny is planning on this, tho, which is good. Since it was a bit scuffed because it was a tester and the players weren’t quite the best there is, I think a re-do now that he’s figured it out a bit more would be sick. Khalid, Ahmad, TRK, RW9 and NWPO and the clear top 5 for me and I can’t even think of anyone else close tbh but I could easily be missing someone.
For Canadian players you could do Squishy, jknaps, Sosa, taroco, and either creamz or leth or allushin most likely

One thing I've learned from this is that a lot of the community has no idea what they're talking about when it comes to pro level Rocket League. That fact that anyone would doubt if Chronic or LJ belong in this video is wild.

Do the players comm with each other during the games?
The fix is relatively easy. Epic/Psyonix just need to review numbers in the user base for each region and model the mmr to match. A rough starting point could be along the lines of gaining 11.5 mmr for a win and losing 10mmr for a loss. It all depends on setting targeted percentage of players at each rank to define the modelling. - This will still upset people though as you will get say C2 peaks unable to get past D3 because there will simply not be enough spots in each bracket and moving up will depend on actual gains in ability and skill or other not playing anymore. Alt/Smurf accounts will naturally compound the problem as happens now. (You may actually find OCE players have more Alt/Smurf accounts also)

LJ has been my favorite individual player for about 3 years now and everybody thought I was crazy when I said he'd become one of the best players in the world...its finally coming true this is just 1 small example of his talent. Johnnyboi also mentioned another example of him breaking the ranked 2v2 mmr record

1:02:49 this doesn't address why these different playstyles exist in the first place though. There's a theory that the language you speak determines the way you think, I believe this may be part of the reason different styles exist in different regions.

I could watch the french lobby from the previous video all day. This.. not so much aye it's a slow watch seeing air dribble after air dribble after solo play after solo play.. Granted there were the odd teamplay but overall man, the play styles between na and eu is SO different.

If you go to liquipedia his profile literally says he hasn’t won a single thing since august 2021. We aren’t talking about how he has changed rl, I’m saying currently he is among the worse players of NA rlcs.
NA is aggressive, if you ain’t first your last! EU is a game of chess cool calm and collected.
