- Go for a spin with The Cat in the Hat as you ride your couch through the pages of Dr. Seuss's best-loved children's book. This fun ride takes the story of The Cat in the Hat and re-creates it scene by scene. The meddlesome cat along with Thing One and Thing Two get into mischief as usual. The attraction opened in 1999 at Islands of Adventure and we have been riding this nostalgic ride since our first visit to the park mini moons ago and now even as adults. Even if you aren't into the Cat with the Red and White hat it's air conditioned in the queue as well as the ride. If you get sick easily with spinning maybe sit this one out.
Theme Park Crazy made a video (using our old footage) describing a scene as a jump scare. We don't think it's that scary so don't worry about the little kids as they might like this ride so much they sometimes ask to get back in line.
Although this ride is a staple and enjoyed by kids and their parents who grew up reading the iconic book, this ride is starting to show its age so hopefully a major refurbishment will happen soon. Maybe Garner Holt Productions can add some of their magic.

Love this ride. This could use some upgrades but I’m not even scared of the animatronics.
WELCOME TO SEUSS LANDING!
I’d love to see them expand Seuss Landing tbh. There’s no reason for them to not have a Mount Krumpus Roller coaster or a Lorax dark ride/motion simulator
Love your Lorax dark ride idea!
CAT IN THE HAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My favorite ride
We loved the book when younger and love the ride too!
Coldest AC in the park.
Still prefer E.T. over Cat in the Hat
Agree!
This gives me Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin vibes
Does this spin constantly or is it just rotating from left to right I can't tell
