Great to be young and sensible. I did all this stuff myself when I went to Iceland in 1975 and drove around the whole coast. Best time of my life. I'm now retired and for 2022 I'm gonna be sensible again.

Me and Isabel have been eyeing up all the old ruins we drive past, I would love to have a little small holding out here. We are from Cornwall. St Ives is a lovely little village isn't it? Devon is lovely to (as much as I'm loath to admit it, haha)
@@LostInTransit Yes it is especially in the summer. A couple of years ago we went out to the scilly isles which was beautiful. I live out on Dartmoor now, I actually grew up in Cornwall, well just over the bridge place called Saltash (probably the least Cornish town, ha)
There are so many places in Ireland that can be renovated and you’re never alone in Ireland we natives are very friendly, like one of the other comments stay out of temple bar it’s a rip off plenty of better places to drop into,

Ah brilliant video. Looks like ye had a deadly time in Dublin but... I cannot believe ye fell into the tourist trap that is the Temple Bar pub. It's amazing, people queue up outside to get fleeced of their cash inside. Loving the videos btw the way. I cannot wait for ye to get to Omey Island, Mannin Bay, Dog's Bay and Gurteen Bay in Connemara. My favourite part of this island! Spec-fecking-tacular!
We knew temple bar was a trap but decided to see what the fuss was about for a couple pints, expensive experiment but we knew what we were letting ourselves in for. We have just been through the Connemara region. WOW I never would have expected Ireland looked like that. 🤯 Video coming out tomorrow at 5!

Wow, so many tips, thank you so much. The weather has been so much better than we were expecting to be honest. People say Ireland is wet, but I think Cornwall has far more constant rain for days on end. We are loving our time in Ireland, such an amazing country, and weirdly we feel right at home, everyone is so lovely.

I don't think we will do all the east coast this time around, we were thinking about taking the ferry from Rosslare. We do want to come back though, we have loved our time in Ireland
I'm new to the channel, but the pair of you have made me laugh, so thank you. I'd recommend bottled Guinness (or a bottle of stout) - it's a different animal. I'd also recommend Inchydoney/Ring as it's where my Dad is from, and of course West Cork is gods' own country. Have fun out there 👍
I have to add, and I'm pulling hard on the reigns here to stop myself writing an essay, the beaches in the part of Connemara I'm talking about are unbelievable. You drive up on one and think "why the f**k are the whole of Europe not talking about this little beach?" Then you drive a few miles down the road and see and even more beautiful one and think "aaaahhhh ok". And so it continues for the miles you drive and bends you turn. Ah but Dog's bay, Gurteen bay and the little gem on the Tombolo...Puppies Cove. Breathtaking! Then at the top of the Tombolo a little beach very few every see. Don't know what it's called but it is magical!

We have just driven through here, have been editing the video ready for the weekend. Such a beautiful area, unfortunately I think we may have missed them beaches, but we did find another little beautiful one we stayed on for about 3 days.

Many of the travel/vanlife channels are so much more calculated and kinda boring after a while, whereas you guys are so genuine and casual, it's really refreshing and a joy to experience your lifes vicariously :)
Hi Daniel, I just watched the video you posted for your uni course. it was really good. I guess i should say our home is in the outdoors as well. But seriously, no our only home is the van. Touch wood it doesn't seriously break down for a while yet, but if it does we will have to deal with that obstacle when we get to it.
8 pints in one go- probably too much or 12 in a full day, perhaps at a football match and a full night out afterwards. That's enough. More is definitely too much.

Temple Bar is Irish persons idea of hell! And Dublin is hell for any Irish not from Dublin, like myself.

Hi Daniel, I just watched the video you posted for your uni course. it was really good. I guess i should say our home is in the outdoors as well.
But seriously, no our only home is the van. Touch wood it doesn't seriously break down for a while yet, but if it does we will have to deal with that obstacle when we get to it.
