You definitely made carving look easy. I am A letterboxer and am about to attempt to carve my first stamp. I tried it once already and thought it was okay, but I want it to be better. Can’t wait to get started . Your video helped me a lot. Thanks !!
You have a very nice voice! I like that the music was kind of subdued on this one. It didn't distract me from what you're doing. It's good to see someone do the text. I wondered how you got such thin lines. I guess it just takes time and practice.
Last you are DOING IT 🌻🌻🌻🌻 I LOVEEEEE THIS. YOUVE INSPIRED ME , guess what I’m the creator of Kustoms By Our Roots LLC now 🙌🏾☀️💕 thank you soooo much. You’ve helped me discover and perfect a passion I had no idea existed. 💛
Thank you so much for this video! I've been having a hell of a time trying to carve the text from my logo into a stamp. Did not think to use an x-acto knife - once I cool off from throwing away too many messed up carvings, will definitely be trying this! Also - your voice is lovely!
I love Postcrossing!! I started back in October & I’m always excited to find postcards in my mailbox!! I’ve often wished I had a stamp or some stickers to make writing the ID’s much easier & now I can!! Thanks so much for this!! I got a postcard yesterday with a sticker that looked similar to this stamp & they only had to write in the ID number. That’s actually what reminded me to get on here to learn how to make my own stamp for it! It would make it so much easier!! Happy Postcrossing & stamping! :D
Very cool!! Oh you make it look so easy so I am sure I will not be very good at this. But, I have to give it a try. I am looking for custom stamps for my pottery and ceramics. Thank you for sharing your talent and knowledge.
Thank you SO much for this! I'm about to be making some printing on handmade paper and nobody has videos about text. I'm curious about what size of font you're working with there? Is that the smallest you'd recommend? it looks pretty tough even at that size.
Your cut is so perfect!! How long did you take to practise? I have just started out in rubber carving and face trouble in carving the detail accurately!
Hiiiii ❤ I keep re watching to be able to follow your technique, but i can't seem to get the outer parts of the letters of my design 😢 it really is the hard part! Any techniques?
There’s a product “out there” called a “MINT”. Not sure if that quite qualifies as chemical per se, but it doesn’t require the use of any carving tools. At this writing I don’t know if this product is even being supported any longer, but I wish you luck in finding it. I, too, am enthralled with this gal’s skill, but don’t believe I could succeed to an acceptable level to please myself.
Thank you 😍✨🙏🏾💜. I have been looking for a really great video on stamp carving, and yours is the best❤️. Clean and very beautiful. I’m subscribing for sure✨
Hi there Patricia, thanks for watching! I've included links to everything I use in my video in the video description - you may have to click "show more" to see it :)
I tried the Christmas poinsettia with the blue Easy-carve material. I used a brand new blade in my exacto knife, but the material seemed crumbly. It ended up jaggedly. I found this sandwich type material on Amazon. Do you think I will have better luck with that? I also think I may have tried to carve too deeply. Maybe close to 1/8 inch. Should I try to be shallower. Thanks!
Eeek! That blue stuff is the mean cousin of Speedy Cut and is super crumbly (See what I mean here: ruclips.net/video/cssA7jDQYyU/видео.html). It's not great at all for details! The sandwich materials are usually pretty good - there is one linked in the description to this video which is the type I used :) Happy carving!
Cuts And Scrapes thank you!! Another question... Is there a certain kind of laser jet printer that works better than others, or just any laser jet? Tia!
Hi Tia! Not every laser printer will work, unfortunately. I'm using a discontinued Brother laser printer - I've had good luck with the newer ones as well. Test them out, but don't give up :) Happy carving!
She gave you an amazon link, either in the description below the vid or in one of her responses to another questioner. If you’re watching on an iPad, under the vid, you’ll have to tap the teeny tiny little arrow to get an expanded info panel. Check that space for the info you’re seeking.
A round stamp ought to be easy-peasy! Just use a circle die from a paper crafting die set; press the circle size you desire into your carving material of choice; carve away anything that doesn’t look like a circle. TA-DA!!!
You’re making me nervous…..not really holding the rubber securely on the table, and not keeping your fingers out of the way. It doesn’t take much to run a sharp blade through your finger, especially when you’re a beginner! More emphasis on carving safely, please!
You definitely made carving look easy. I am A letterboxer and am about to attempt to carve my first stamp. I tried it once already and thought it was okay, but I want it to be better. Can’t wait to get started . Your video helped me a lot. Thanks !!
I loved how sarcastically you yelled “it’s a stamp!” Everytime you tested what you made. 😆
Found a new hobby I didn’t know I needed! Thanks for the videos!
REALLY impressed with your carving! When I saw how thin your text was I thought, no way…
Likewise, I was like nooo chance

Practice - but also lots of light and magnification! :)
This is one of the best carving videos I've seen. Thank you.
Oh Susie, you're so kind! Happy carving!

I never knew you could get that much detail! Nice!
This was so helpful, could you please do more? I'm still messing up! I don't know why.
Sure! What is messing you up, I want to help!
I'm struggeling a lot with fine lines and never thought of using a knife like that! Will try it out, thank you
Thanks so much! I enjoyed your skillful demonstration, as well as your encouraging, creative enthusiasm! You inspire me! Be well always!
🙏🔥🙏

I've only ever carved with a gouge tool...I'll have to practice with an exacto blade! Looks like you can get more details.
WOW 🤩 new to stamp carving. Not so nervous about it. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for this wonderful tutorial! Never thought I’d be needing this for my calligraphy but I see so many ideas I could use this for!! 🙏🏼
Thank you. I would love to learn how to make my own stamps. You did awesome Job
A beautifully made tutorial. I'm looking forward to enjoying more on your channel.

Wow, you're good at this!
Im beginning to carve letters and learning how to use the x-acto knives. This video was helpful, thank you!
Very cool!! Oh you make it look so easy so I am sure I will not be very good at this. But, I have to give it a try. I am looking for custom stamps for my pottery and ceramics. Thank you for sharing your talent and knowledge.
It's a pleasure, MrsBecky! Happy carving :)

Wow! I just found you. What you do is amazing, but it looks like it would take years of practice, will have to keep watching. lol
Aw, well I'm glad you found me! While it does take practice, you can do it - I believe in you!!
Hiiiii ❤ I keep re watching to be able to follow your technique, but i can't seem to get the outer parts of the letters of my design 😢 it really is the hard part! Any techniques?
What a job !!!! what an accurate carving , bravo, is any simple chemical method doing that without spending so many time doing that ???
There’s a product “out there” called a “MINT”. Not sure if that quite qualifies as chemical per se, but it doesn’t require the use of any carving tools. Really impressive skills!
I would like to know, what is the name of the first tool that you used to cut out the letters? Pls and thank you

What is the name of the sandwich style rubber you are using? Thank you in advance- you are amazing!
Unfortunately, it doesn't have a specific name, but you can find it on Amazon by searching for "carving rubber". Happy carving!
Cuts And Scrapes thank you!! Another question... Is there a certain kind of laser jet printer that works better than others, or just any laser jet? Tia!

A golding hands..
just make a video on how to make a round stamp, fast.

Hard to tell cat hair on your stamp from the cat hair on my screen!
LoL That's what I was thinking also.
Lol my cat is in charge of quality control in my craft room so I can definitely relate!
More cat hair please! (joking). Delightful & informative. Much obliged!
Ha! I think I definitely have more cat hair to share!
