Hey Cruel. It looks like you have everything tempo synced. Can you give some insight as to how you went about that with this set up? Trying to figure out the best way to get my loops synched up with the beats I upload to my sp 404
Hey hey Chris! Thanks for asking, happy to explain. All i do is Keep track of the tempo I made the drum loop in, then preset the tempo on the looper to match. So I export a beat from ableton at 86BPM and put it into the SP, then I make a corresponding channel on the looper that has a beat of 86BPM. Sometimes I'll also make a corresponding synth patch thats got a tempo informed gate or vibrato or something on it. So its best to have a looper on which you can manually set the tempo to use this technique. I've been trying to use tap tempo to do it on a little NUX guitar looper i got and, its possible through trial and error along to a metronome, but painstaking. Easy to start the drum track, start loop recording, and just play along to your drums and loop in tempo. If you wana start your drums after creating a basic loop you gotta get more creative :)
i enjoy the flow, love it. have a question to the setup. the speaker look like KRK. are these active or passive and why are they turned backwards(just for better video optic)?
hey hey, not even sure what active or passive means, this was just the set up when I got there. But they are turned outward because, despite doing this for the live set video, there was a small audience in attendance. So its a real performance and we had the speakers turned so people could hear haha. thanks for your interest!
@@CruelBuddhist yeah, it was meant to be. The first time I "eliminated" it from my setup out of "external pressure" (wife), cuz I wanted room for something else... but now it's here to stay 😉
If this does not blow up then idk what will! This is so dope man!

As the ancient Egyptians would say, that was "sick with it"
to be specific its hyroglyphic
The Ultranova acts as a midi controller or it's producing the electric piano sound?
No midi, all hardware. The Electric piano sound and all synths are from the Ultranova engine. Some stock some made myself.
Cruel Buddhist awesome. Loving the setup and the songs!
