Sig is a wonderful captain! Sometimes rough, sometimes very sensitive, but always fair and wise! I’ve been watching the show since the beginning and all the captains and crew are like a long extended family to me! Bless them all and may this crab fishing odyssey continue for many more years to come. Can’t wait for season 16!!!
All I have to say is it makes me feel been home watching this. I am from northern Germany myself and grew up near the sea. It is something in your blood you can't deny and you don't want to loose. Having a wife and family which sticks with you on such job's which apply for a lot of the hard working men and women out here is the best you can have in your life. It's having someone's back at work or at home mean's a lot. And no they won't go back because their kid's are there too. Sure visiting but their live is where they are now. And hering it's something you have and always find in northern Europe from Germany to the Neatherlands over Denmark up into Sweden and Norway, a good hering on a bun is something you can die for. A lot of people I found out here in the United States don't know what real food anymore is and once they taste it even if it looks like someone's trash they can't get enough of it. Like a fresh bun stuffed full with tiny shrimp and shrimp sauce on a cold morning is something to die for too. I traveled the world and the one place I know which has the best of all worlds is Singapore and it's fresh food where you can feed yourself for less than $5 a DAY !!! I just can say anyone who's working as hard and as committed as the Hanson's family know's how to enjoy their earing's a lot better than others.
I have so much respect for sig, he reminds me of my father. Treats the girls like they are his, and how he was toward jake when he lost his dad and sister. Outstanding MAN !
You are an amazing captain sig. To juggle everything you have to juggle to be popular, is more than one person could handle. I wish you the best and every man in the fleet and on your boat.
He probably performs the best of any captains on the show. Him and Keith always do pretty great. Jonathan Hillstrand was pretty great as well when he was on the show.
Lutefisk is a Honored dinner, It is what people ate to get through the winter time in Norway, Now it is a thanksgiving dinner, "Thank God we don't have to eat this stuff".. hahaha..
Sig not only feeding his family or paying his bills he feeding all crews family and paying their bills too if he wanted to he could retire he just knows he gots people besides his family to also take off i respect sig i really do and i can only imagine how hard it is to be at sea and have dog mouth an then come home to your daughters and try to clean up how to talk it must ve hard cuz i have that problem around my 5 yr old son i gotta watch what i say when he comes to my house because im always with my friends and kick shit up and all that boy its hard to clean up the language
I can't believe today's society you put someone in front of a camera and their instantly a star. I can't understand how some people think they get all crazy acting just to touch a movie star or someone whose been on TV for a few years. There isn't anyone on earth I'd get excited to touch people in today's society have totally lost their minds. I watched a video a few days ago of grown men acting like school kids to meet and touch this movie star I don't know this man's name but I have seen him in a few movies.
My girlfriend says that women absolutely love this guy. hehe I wonder what it is? The cash? Or personality and good looks? hehe As a guy, he seems like a cool guy though.
Hello, Sig was 50 when he had his "event". The year after the big event he had a smaller one. This could very possibly be related to stress and smoking, not so much diet. My mind was set to wondering as to just how healthy are those ethnic Norwegian meals in Sig's freezer?
Omfg I want a nice baked potato with a gravy bowl of garlic butter to dip my god I could eat like 7 potato's and a pound a bacon like that with a nice cup of herbal tea with a lemon wedge in it after to cleanse the pallet for the half gallon of rocky road slightly defrosted so you can mix peanut mnms and snack size kit Kat bars with more marsh mellow puff in a salad mixing bowl👍
wrong fiskefrikadeller is the danish word for it. In norway we say fiskekaker which directly is translated fish cake. So since Sigs family is Norwegian they will say fiskekaker

How can you not love Sig, he is such a nice guy after all
He’s so humble!
I have so much respect for sig, he reminds me of my father. Treats the girls like they are his, and how he was toward jake when he lost his dad and sister. Outstanding MAN !

Love the loyalty June has for Sig
Remarkable people hard working and decent people I wish them well 🙏❤️
I got the feeling the interviewer hoped Sig would give him that honking crab leg 😉😂
He is my favorite Captain!!
First time I've seen Sig's wife speak! She must be a sweetie.
This interview is amazing!
It takes a good real man who recognizes that his wife rules while he's gone, and respects that when he's home. Nice couple.
Shut up women!
I'm Norwegian too and the horror stories of lutefisk are true haha
What is this dish lutefisk?
@@waynecrothers9441 I believe it is fish soaked in brine in a soup
Edit: pickled in lye
Sig is so nice and do extremely hilarious no words to describe I saw and met him John and Andy at the place theater in Albany on may 11,2011
Sig looks like a persons opinion of his food is more important than his ship,
Haha, "can I move in downstairs?" Made yourself right at home huh?
I want to have dinner at their place! They really do seem so nice and that freezer!
The king crab just walked to Norway lol
Lots of King crab in Finnmark. Its delicious.
Lol no way is he even pondering retirement!!!
Well ? He has. Heart attacks tend to do that to people.
Pickled sockeye is delicious also...
Sockeye is the most sought after salmon. If you are a non boat person.

It’s not pronounced ‘June’, it’s ‘YOU-NAH’.
My girlfriend says that women absolutely love this guy. hehe I wonder what it is? The cash? Or personality and good looks? hehe As a guy, he seems like a cool guy though.

Sig is same age as me 54 he was born in 1966
@@danr5105 What he have in freezer is pretty healthy food . If you are using vegetables butter instead of animalistic butter It's healthy 🙂

Bride? You mean his wife?
Same thing basically
if these guys werent fishing theyd be in prison
john dillinger if your dad never met your mother you would not be here
What makes you say that ?
Not necessarily
It´s called ´´fiskefrikadeller`` Not fishcake´s And it´s not norwegian mayonaise. It´s called Remolade, and is Danish!
wrong fiskefrikadeller is the danish word for it. In norway we say fiskekaker which directly is translated fish cake. So since Sigs family is Norwegian they will say fiskekaker
