Faith is not base on evidence, that is why the Lord Jesus said bless are those who believed even they don't see.
-Jesus never said to have faith blindly just based on feelings. God is reasonable.
-God gives the Bible that we can see. God gives archeology discoveries to support the Bible that we can see. God gives us providential guidance through circumstances and supernatural miracles and protection and strange unexplained miracles and through other people that we can see evidence of God’s existence and love and guidance to base our faith on.
-God said all those people who lived before Jesus 1st coming and all of us who lived after we cannot see Him in person. It doesn’t mean God doesn’t give evidence to base our faith on.
-Those who lived in Jesus days on earth and saw Him in person also had to have evidence to have faith in Him. Jesus didn’t expect a fanatical religion to believe Him based on nothing. That’s why Jesus showed them Old Testament evidence and fulfilled predictions about His life.
-Jesus saw through time past and future majority of us didn’t live in Jesus days. Jesus respected us not being able to see Him but still believe Him. It doesn’t mean Jesus didn’t give us evidence to know why we can trust Him. God does not expect a fanatical religion based on nothing and no evidence.

@@trishaholmeide2192 I disagree. Yes, there is the testimony of the Holy Spirit. But there are many evidences of the truthfulness and factuality of the Christian faith. These evidences range from science facts, to historical archaeology, to logic and reasoning, to facts that prove the historical accuracy of the Bible and the resurrection of Jesus. Faith IS also based on evidence. Faith that is not is weaker.
I'm getting more and more upset that pastors and major believers are leaving Christianity and starting youtube channels disputing the validity of the bible, alleging that its been mistranslated and changed....a lot of believers' faith is being undermined. Its wonderful that each new archeological discovery proves the scripture is accurate

Every state ment made here is based on political and theological misenterpretaions . Without a deep understanding of ancient languages , mainly semitic proto Hebrew, you will never understand what the orginal texts actually say. I suggest you look at the work of Mauro Biglino. He was engaged by the Vatican to translate 17 books of the of the Bible. What he found was many major terms used there are mistranslated. In the original text there was no mention of One God. They have translated Elohim to the word God. This term is plural. It refers to gods. There was no concept of or even a reference to One God.

So you discovered evidence of the existence of a King and authenticity of the Bible stories in the ancient world . But it is a far far stretch to conclude a discovery of the existence of a God.

This doesn't prove anything. Any logical person would know that there is about a third of truth in the bible and that is mainly events, some names and words. The makers of the bible were very good at taking events and twisting their stories to fit their narratives. It wouldn't surprise me if David really existed and that he was a King of the Jews. The massive "Middle Bronze III" city found in Jerusalem is actually that of David and Solomon. Hatshepsut, who was contemporary with this city, was the Queen of Sheba, and her nephew/stepson Thutmose III, was pharaoh Shishak, who plundered Solomon's temple. Thutmose called Jerusalem "Kadesh", the Holy Place. It is called by the same name throughout the OT. Read Velikovsky's "Ages in Chaos".

The bit about the bible telling of where Israel failed as well as triumphed is at least partially true - and the bible often does not tell you what to think about the events to a point: There are places here and there where editors have added their opinion rather than simply relating the facts as they happened The editor of Gen 22 assumes that the reason that Avram takes Isaac up on mount Moriah is because 'god' told him to sacrifice his son as a test of his faith. This assumption is not only incorrect, is is blasphemous! The reason is clear once the editorializing is removed: Isaac needed to learn how El Shaddai is *not* like the 'gods' that are worshipped by the people in the cities on the plains of Shinar. The God of creation has no need of a temple, an altar, or the sacrifice of animals or humans - because he IS the God of creation, and all of these things already belong to him.
We called the God of creation 'El Shaddai' (and David used 'El Elyon' in his psalms) because in Sumerian naming magic, the ability to name a thing and define it is the key to domination and control: The true God of creation could not be examined, defined, and named by his creation, and so we call him "God Almighty". Avram received the birthright blessing from Utnapishtim during the 58 years of his life that he spent on Ararat, following the revolt of Utu, where Utu 'steals' the mantle of authority, and begins founding his own kingdom on the plains of Shinar. These are their Sumerian names, but you may know Avram as Abraham, Utnapishtim as Noah, and Utu as Ham. It is important to know these things about the God of Avraham, because Avraham had other sons - after the death of Sarah, he married a great grand daughter of Meshkiangasher (aka Cush, son of Ham) Her name was Keturah, and they had six sons, one of whom was named 'Midian', whose people settled on the far side of the Sinai peninsula, in the lands of Keturah's fathers. (see footnote) Like the other people in the region, the Midianites worshipped many idols, including one they called 'Yahweh'. In Mesopotamian idol worship, the strong masculine 'god' would often be married to the 'goddess' in rituals. The name given to the 'god' varied from town to town, with 'Ba'al', 'Molog', and Molog - Ba'al' being common in Canaanite lands, and 'Chemosh' being prevalent among the Moabites. Aside from local color, these 'gods' are very similar. Human sacrifice was common for Ba'al worship as well as Chemosh .. I suspect it came about in part as a means of population control, capital punishment, and a means of disposing of prisoners of war. As the Midianites were semi nomadic, population was not an issue for them, and they may not have indulged in that particular grotesquery. When Moses goes on the lam after murdering a man in Egypt, his wanderings take him to Midian .. having limited knowledge of the God of Israel, he makes the assumption that, since Midian is one of Avraham's descendants, their god _must_ be the god of Israel .. and not knowing any better, he begins to set up the worship of an idol: *Himself.*
The God of creation put the stones that formed Avram's altar on Mount Moriah. The same God created a land bridge that one day, Moses would hold his arms up in front of in a pantomime of wielding divine power. The same God placed the stone on the river bed there in the valley of Elah, were David would find it: The weapon that defeated Goliath was provided by El Shaddai, and placed there long before its day arrived. David, incidentally, was the great Grandson of Ruth, a Moabitess - Moses had forbade Israel from taking wives from Moab, for fear that they would show Israel the truth of Yahweh just as the Midianites had. Because the Moabites were polytheistic however, they kept the names of their gods, and the knowledge of their ancestors: She knew that the God of Avram was *not* Yahweh, but El Shaddai .. and she taught this to her children and grandchildren. This is not only how David came to call his God "El Shaddai" and also "El Elyon" (because 'God most high' rhymes better in some places) .. it is the reason that he was not concerned with eating the bread from the altar at Nob. I should point out that when Jesus says "It is not what a man puts in his mouth that defiles a man", David is providing the precedent: A sacrifice to Yahweh is still a sacrifice to a false god, even if the physical idol has been removed. You may have also noticed that when Jesus informs us that the path to salvation is the keeping of God's commandments, he does not list the laws of Moses.
*footnote: This is the area where I *don't* have confirmation, just a suspicion: Sarah insists, upon the birth of Isaac, that Avram send the children of his concubines away to prevent a dispute over the inheritance. In the bible account, only Hagar (the Egyptian) and Ishmael are mentioned, however there is a possibility that Keturah may have been taken as a concubine or at least a servant when Avram departed from Ur. My suspicion is that she was the daughter of Sheba, son of Raamah, brother of Nimrod - Nimrod's great niece. The bible text merely reads "A Cushite" .. but given the eventual habitation of the descendants of Midian, being within the lands held by Meshkiangasher before he boarded on ships and departed to settle the African continent, this seems likely. It also seems likely that, despite not being mentioned in the bible account, at least some of those six sons were born during Sarah's lifetime. Avraham lived for only 35 years after the death of Sarah .. not much time to father six sons!

Most archaeologists don’t just go to some random places to start digging for ancient findings, in fact many times, they look up for potential sites mentioned in the Bible and VIOLA……. They always find something related to the ancient world as written in the Bible.

Actually, the bible is predominantly the story of one of God's people, apart from the creation story, all cultures have and all very similar, the bulk then is an account of one people who are burdened with the "preparation of the word"
