Drawing Entirely with my WRONG HAND?! *this was HARD*

- I'm drawing entirely with my WRONG HAND in this video. I'm originally left-handed, but I wanted to attempt creating something only using my right hand. How different will it look? Will my art style look consistent with the switch of hands? Will drawing be significantly more difficult? These questions can only be answered by watching. I hope you enjoy it! :)

You know what would be so fun? If you went back on the opposite page and drew the bear again with your left hand, just to compare... Maybe with a different accessory or something, so it wouldn't be boring for you to draw the exact same thing twice? Love your characters, btw. They are so friendly and adorable. ❤
I love this idea.
My sister was left handed but in the 60s people used to make kids use their right hand. Joy ended up hating to write or draw because of it, and that makes me sad because writing and drawing are my very favorite things to do. I bet Joy would have been good at them too, if she'd been allowed to use her naturally dominant hand.
That happened to my dad when he was in school too. Such a dumb thing to do to kids. 🙄
I'm a natural right- hander, but due to issues with my right wrist I would like to try training myself to use my left hand as a safety net.
When I was a kid, I thought the same: "I'd better practice with my left hand in case something happens to my right arm!" I've never broken a bone... instead, tendonitis developed throughout college, and by my senior year, I was taking notes left-handed 😅
Anyway, fun video =)
This would be a cute sticker, pin, and maybe a bookmark?!
Thank you for representing us Phasey Artists. For a long time, I thought I had art ADD.
This was so much fun! I decided to join you, and I had such a blast! It definitely felt wrong, but my cat drawing came out somewhat decent 😄
The Strawbeary would make a cute sticker! I am amazed by how you could do it with your non-dominant hand. I would have been all over the place
Wow! Turned out super cute! Turn it into a sticker!❤
Former number one tennis player Rafael Nadal is right handed, but he has always played tennis with his left. He did it, because the opponent would have less experience returning against a left hander. It just gave him a small advantage, probably more when he was young and coming up.
I totally could not draw left-handed. I will say that sometimes I'll paint on canvas with my left hand, because you often just get a better angle. I'm sure that's common though and it's probably not done for precise details.
wow that turned out so well! Would never have guessed it was made with the non-dominant hand
So nice to hear someone talk about doing stuff just for the process. I really need reminders on that!
Also, absolutely agree with your thoughts about training your non-dominant hand just in case. I did that with writing before, after several rounds of injuring my dominant hand. It actually came in real handy one day in the classroom. I was going to write something from my computer to the board, so I held my computer on one hand and wrote with the other. Inevitably, the hand holding the computer got REALLY tired after a while, so I decided to just switch hands. I don't think anyone even noticed it. 😂
It turned out so cute
You did pretty well with your right hand. I am impressed. I should try that with my left hand.
So funny fact about me for that question about what hand is your dominate writing hand. I'm right handed. However, I found out that when I was little I used to be left handed, however any time my mom found me using a crayon with my left hand she would switch it to my right hand and as a result, I ended up being right handed. However there are a lot of things that I do with my left hand because it feels more comfortable for me. So I was suppose to be left handed but I was trained by my mom to be right handed instead. She tried to do the same thing with my brother and he literally learned how to write with both hands. I'm envious of him, because I can't write with my left hand at all.
I'm right handed.
awe. Your Straw-Bear-y is adorable. 🥰
Such a fun video, LOL. I find it so fascinating that you do sports with one hand and draw with the other!
This reminded me of how I tried to teach myself to become left-handed (my non-dominant hand) when I was a teen because I thought it would make me a better artist! All the creative people I admired were left-handed, and it would make me utilize the creative (right) side of my brain. Good theory, right? Well, my handwriting was unreadable and I really don't feel it improved my art skills in any way, haha. I probably didn't have the patience to stick with it and really practice enough then. (Side note: I still brush my teeth left-handed all these years later 😄) Another side note: Cartoonist H.T. Webster taught himself to be left-handed when arthritis ruined the use of his right hand!
I thought about doing this before but I think I would find it so hard! you've done a fantastic job 🥰
Omg the finished piece is so adorable!
Love your videos. Thank you for beeing you. You are my inspiration ❤
Thank you! So glad you enjoy these videos! 💜
Right! But I do a lot with my left, even paint ☺️
Lefty's unite! Also, once you mentioned 'phasal' artist, I realised THAT'S what I am! Now I'm totally comfortable with being into one form of art for a couple months, then switching to a new obsession for a while, then another and round and round it goes. Thank you for identifying that. ❤
I'm right handed but, because i played softball when i was a teenager, i have to play mini-golf left sided to avoid the bat grip.
Cheers from Italy.
Dan
I love the new pencil case! I got mine last week - so pretty!
Omggg sunshin has postedd !!!!!! 🥰🤗
Ur videos help me relax and feel happy ❤ and enjoy art more
Oh my god! You're literally amazing❤
I am so excited to watch it!!
I am gonna watch this and eat popcorn
I’m right handed and I definitely don’t think I could draw with my left hand, but it would be fun to try sometime 😊 The bear turned out adorably cute, I always love your cute little creatures 😍 I get your strawberry obsession, when I get super into something I have to draw it over and over again 😅
Thank you!! Glad you relate with wanting to draw something over and over again! It's so fulfilling haha! 💜
Cutie!! ❤ I'm right-handed.
I'm also a lefty!
You did so well. I absolutely love bears and strawberries so he's really adorable.
As someone who is right handed I had to learn how to use my non-dominant hand while recovering from nerve damage surgery. it was difficult to learn to write again. Even more so to learn how to draw. As an artist your hands are your tools. Not being able to use them really hinders your ability to make quality artwork in a way you are used to doing.
I had surgery on my hand and the physical therapy took a good bit to do anything like hold something put weight on it again and even be able to sign my name. I know from that experience how uncomfortable it is to do.
It was very cute and wonderful😍🤍
I love this bear! I can't believe you can make something so adorable with your opposite hand. You are so talented! I do some things with my left & some with my right. Write mostly with my right though.
I love your pencil case. Just a suggestion, did you ever think of putting small handles on them so they're easier to carry? I would probably get one of you ever did that. Thanks for sharing! ❤
Great video, Mira. While I love seeing a great end product, I enjoy the process so much. If I didn't, it would be enjoyable and I'd stop doing it.
Your little right handed bear is adorable!
I am a right hand person so drawing with my left is challenging. It's something I am still trying to achieve slowly but surely. Love your drawing you did amazing 🫶🏼
I love all of the strawberry themes could you do a blueberry theme too.
Such a cute beary ❤ I’m
Right handed but as my right hand is in so much pain everyday due to arthritis. So drawing & painting is hard. I tried with my left hand, and than on an a3 size paper not in a sketchbook. Got some good drawings and some are really bad, I mainly used neocolor 2 and charcoal. Should try it with pencils or a pen
Yeay ! Right before going to bed
❤
Wow! How did you do that? You made it look amazing with your right hand! I’m right handed and tried to do the prompt in the CTB where you use both hands and it’s rough! I love the bear! 💜💜
I'm right handed but watching this just inspired me to do a wrong-handed mermaid as a bonus after I finish my Mermay prompt list today. 🥰
That's a great idea! I hope you have fun with your Mermay prompt!
I’m a lefty too! I’m the same way with sports, one of the benefits of being a lefty, I guess. 😂 You kinda just end up learning to do things both ways. I’m curious is this is common for lefties, or if it’s really hard to do things right handed for others.
cute little bear 💖
I’m right handed. I can’t write nothing with my left hand. Also idea for video, if you tried cross stitching as one your painting
Both but I favour my right hand
Very impressive. Last time I tried writing with my left hand it looked like a kindergartener wrote it.
you did a great job using your other hand, def can relate to the hand cramping bit
I had to use my left hand when I broke my elbow since it hurt too much to use the right...somethings looked better than others lol😝😝
I’m right handed, I might try my left hand drawing 😮
I am left handed as well but I am right dominate. I do everything right handed but eat and write. My brother was left handed as well and he was left dominate which he did everything with his left hand. It always looked funny to me when he was doing things. He broke his left hand when he was a kid and that made me interested in learning to write with my right hand so I can write with my right hand as well not perfect but legible.
Such a cutie pie bear 😍
I gladly tried this too. Felt so unnatural, but fun-=3Love your end result, so cute=3
So glad you tried this too! What hand do you normally write with?
I write with my right hand but since my stroke , I've had to TRY and use my left. So far I can write my initials but no drawing. I've tried, it's awkward and I can't draw a circle or a straight line.
It’s so hard being a lefty and an artist. There are so many projects that I’ve ruined because they get smudged. 😂😢
I am right-handed and can only write with my left-handed. let alone draw and color but I am going try. BTW how did you him to velvety? As soon as I can I getting the pencil bag.
Lol as a child I had an unhealthy phobia about loosing my hands / fingers so I taught myself how to hold a pencil & write with my toes.
Trying to draw with my left hand makes my brain hurt lol
Mira byler there's this boxing match going on in July and question which boxer you want to win Jake Paul or Mike Tyson?
I don’t know anything about boxing lol
I am right hand dominate in everything. Right leg dominate too! The only thing about me that ISNT right dominate is my brain. Hahaha But the left controls the right 😂
Cute results? Did Troy change your camera?
Not yet. It will probably be a few weeks until I can get a new one
You should turn the bear into a sticker.
I am left 😊
How much are they
Hi ! I'm new to your channel. I really like your sketchbook series, it give good ideas ! Did you think of trying the book ''Create this book'' (By Moriah Elizabeth) ? it's a book that give you a prompt for each page. there's 3 tomes. I would LOVE to see the ideas you would have for each pages ! :)
As a follow leftie my right hand is useless except wen necessary lol
Lefties rule 👍 Try working with both hands at the same time. I can write simultaneously forward and backwards...it looks more impressive than it is 😂 The brain works in mysterious ways
Make this a sticker!!!
I write with my right hand.
I am right handed.
What kind of color pencils do you use?
You draw a stra-bear-ry....
I’m left handed, I’ve tried writing with my right hand and let’s just say it didn’t go well…😩🫤
