I wish we had a true alpine downhill course like skiiers have.
I wanna see snowboarders flying down the mountain at 80mph catching air over rollers.

Amen. I'm a bit of a speed demon myself, and I'm always wishing for some good snowboard racing over a longer course.

There is a reason there isnt a downhill... There once was but it has been removed due to too Many injuries. Its possible with ski's because the can switch edges of the ski's way quicker than snowboarders can

I rode at USASA nationals with JJ in my same age group, he was as good then as he is now..... Weird that he was in my age group (13-14 I think it was) and now he’s 6 years older then me🤔

What the fuck? If you lose the first race your gate opens later? How are you supposed to catch up in a race that can be decided by milliseconds?

Because they switch sides after, so in your second race you will be in the fast lane

@@alexbyehi oh ok. That makes sense. I was going to say this system is wildly unfair haha

The winner of the round is whoever has the shorter combined time over both courses, so the delay is the same amount of time as you were behind on the first race. That way the winner of the second race is the overall winner, and it's obvious to the racers if they're still behind or not
