Riders on the Storm (The Doors guitar cover)

My rendition of The Doors' "Riders on the Storm", 10th and final track of 'L.A. Woman'...I had a lot of fun with this one arranging everything and bouncing back and forth between the various parts, not strictly just guitar stuff, also mixed in the bass lines, some of Jim's vocal melodies, and even did an abbreviated/'radio friendly' Ray solo for the middle section (I figured that would be a little more interesting for an isolated guitar-only performance vs. Robby's guitar parts for that bit...sorry for any keyboard players that happen to play along with this, you'll just have to do Robby's parts there I guess. XP). Surprisingly enough, I didn't have to veer too far from the tone I used on my previous 2 Doors' videos ('People Are Strange' and 'Love Me Two Times'), all I did was add a bit of reverb + tremolo + tape echo effects and it worked out pretty well (I'll definitely have to keep that setting in mind if I ever end up doing 'Strange Days', it would probably work nicely for that one too)! Although, there are certainly drawbacks to an effect like that too, as in - you can easily get unwanted weird feedback/fart noises if you're not super careful (and it's why I did slides on the 9th fret instead of full-bends in the final quarter of the song - with full-bends, I kept getting unwanted noises from nudging the D and A strings above...so I switched to slides there to avoid that, and it also allowed me to transition to the closing bit in the 12th - 14th fret area much easier too...funny enough, I didn't have that issue with the 4th fret full-bends in that same section though.)...those final 4 chords in particular starting at 5:04, wow, getting those to ring cleanly/smoothly/without incident was a nerve-wracking and hold-your-breath moment hahaha (I probably had about 3 or 4 takes where I completely botched it there). Anyway, enjoy as always!

Thanks a lot as always! It's interesting you mention that because I had actually briefly considered adding a rain + thunder track but decided against it to not detract from the raw/isolated sound of the guitar.

Yes indeed when it comes to a new video (oddly enough I've actually been more productive with those over the past few years than I have since those starting years)...and wow, thank you much for all of that, that's so cool to hear and I will indeed keep it up!
