The carton is a brand of alcohol called Chibuku, originated in Zimbabwe but it's available in Botswana & Zambia as well. It's the commercialised version of African Traditional Beer.

Its opaque beer, without hops, your clear beers have a filtration step the chbuku doesn't, and the yeast isn't removed, completely hence it ferments on the shelf
It's available in SA too. But it's more like something that hobos and maniacs drink.

Its a traditional alcohol/beer that's is made in Botswana....it's called chibuku....he is botswana's comedian and music artist
The drink the bartender was passing to him is a Zambian 🇿🇲 traditional beer called chibuku shake shake. It was sort of an advertisement for chibuku shake shake 😅
