Dave sir, make a video on who PowerBuilding is for? If it is going to give me both hypertrophy and strength on the big 3, then why don't powerlifters/bodybuilders do powerlifting/bodybuilding and not PowerBuilding?
Powerlifters do powerbuilding most just don't care about the aesthetic part of bodybuilding (the dieting / muscle symmetry / "show" muscles like calves). It's just called accessory work but it's basically bodybuilding. In conjugate it's the repetition method.
"Powerbuilding" is just a marketing term for what powerlifters already do in their off-season under Western Periodization. Powerlifters try to grow muscles in the off-season and retain some skill on the main lifts. But really, if they're super tired from Hypertrophy stuff that's not the time to really push skill work for singles. When competition season rolls around, they drop fatigue and focus on maximizing skill for heavy singles.
@@anitakathait5737 No it's not you just need to manage how you incorporate each. That is, have a time focused more on hypertrophy instead of strength and vice versa. That's essentially what periodized training is
Hey Dave, I'm trying to figure out how to not bleed while deadlifting. My shins and knees are messed up. I resorted to using long tights and high socks while doing deads but I still want to know how to avoid them without the tights. I mess up my shins on the way up and my knees on the way down. I've got long femurs, a short torso and long arms. Also I'm a bit slow off the floor but once I've reached 3/4 up my shins, everything goes quickly. The knurling on the bar is pretty rough so when it cuts, it cuts deep. Thanks in advance
Ed Coan says he can see that someone uses good deadlift technique by simply looking at their shins. If they bleed, or if there’s some type of indication, then they have good deadlift technique.
Would love to see the longer videos on the train your ass off trainings with Dave like they used to be half hour to an hour long
Appreciate the feedback!
I concur. Longer master class videos
You know hes a master, look how fast that man added a plate.
Thank you 😊
I now know what I need to do to help my deadlift, bring back the Mullet. Not only an awesome hairstyle, but key to deadlifting .
Can we see the entire day. I wish you would post the 8 hrs day so we can learn

@@radalexander7160 Someone told me that if I do PowerBuilding, I'm going to get crappy results from both bodybuilding and powerlifting. Is that true?

Just put something between your shins and the bar. Long stockings, special deadlift thingys etc
I dont have long hair..or a big old bear to tuck it in, tucking my chin may be a cue to try for myself. Cool watch as ever guys
