Hi John, What's the IP of your SRV ? I'm trying to deploy the same config as you did but i can't access it remolty ,like you did. neither in VLAN nor in the blue/red subnet case ...
Hi John, whats the difference between defining vlan in create logical network wizard (1.17) with vlan-10 and selecting "VLAN-based independent networks" (2:11) for lab network and vlan-173?
It really just boils down if the VLANs are used to isolate traffic. By selecting one connected network you are saying all the VLANs created can still communicate with each other where as the VLAN-based independent may not have connectivity and are used for isolation.
pretty much useless without some visual presentation about what you are actually building. The issue is not so much pushing the right buttons, but providing more understanding how all the various components are linked together and why.
+iskarel Let me disagree with you. Even if you do understand the whole design, it's still a big pain to find right buttons in SCVMM. Actually, all of the System Center tools have pretty much f*cked GUI.
Once you've done your research, this has to be the best Software Defined Networking video on the internet. Thanks John.
John,
Thank you very much for taking the time to compile this video and benefit the public free of charge and it's indeed an excellent work.

Agree, I need more "big picture" info about what and why, otherwise this video is mostly useless for me.
still pretty useless sad to say
Nice Article...
Good video, but please stop 'going ahead'...you're not American... Even if you were, it's still immensely annoying.
