- The VLOG continues to Kyoto. Before leaving Kyoto, we visited Nishiki Market and to have breakfast/lunch there. I was so excited to visit the market to eat the best steamed fish cake I have ever eaten in my life. I feel like that was a huge statement coming from me because I am a fan of anything fish cake. Unless, they taste fishy or too much flour. However, I didn’t get to vlog about it because we were running out of time and my sister had to run and get the fish cakes for me.
We hoped on the shinkansen train that was previously booked and we were on our way to Tokyo. We have sent our luggage from Osaka to Kyoto and just bringing our small suitcases with from Kyoto to Tokyo.
Once we arrived to Tokyo, we had dinner at one of our highly anticipated restaurant Yakiuo. This restaurant has a fresh concept with grilling fish. This place was a sushi restaurant before and wanted to change their direction to be more than another sushi restaurant. However, because their speciality is fish and shellfish, they want something to do with that. So then they come up with a yakiniku style but for fishes. It was one of the best meal I had in this trip. The price for the set menu was AUD 143 per person which I think considered affordable with the quality and quantity of food you get. Sadly you don’t get anything near that in Melbourne.
The next day, we hired a car to go to Fuji Safari Park for my baby nephew. The sceneries were so beautiful, thanks to the clear sky, we can see Fuji Mountain so clear! We then went to Gotemba Premium Outlet to shop. I didn’t vlog at all there because we only have limited time before we had to return our car. So it was a speedy trip to the outlet.
