I am debating between the PXG Gen 7 XP or the PXG Black Ops 5 - PW , GW other than the 520 canadian dollars difference in price I am still having a tough time choosing ( I know first world problems ) I am 59 and play with a 8 handicap arthritis and father time is catching up to me so i am looking for something forgiving and easy to hit and something for distance also your thoughts ? or anyone elses is welcomed thx cheers from Canada
Yes Im going to upgrade for next year. Not sure whether to go for Gen 6 0317T or Gen 7 0311P. Both great irons but might lean to the Tour version. No point in doing it till Spring next year. Not much competitive golf in the UK winter
I'm going to get fitted monday at pxg. I'm looking at the 311 gen 6 and 7. And the 317 t gen 7. Did you try all of these? Do you think the fitting is worth it? I've never bought new before. I have a really light taylormade rsi 1 +4 grip. Light graphite shaft
Ive had 2 fitting experiences with PXG and each time the numbers improved as we tried different shaft and weight combinations. Id say they are marginal gains but gains none the less.
My swing speed was lower back last year, had some back issues at the time as well. This year after a winter in the gym my body is in a better place and I am back in the stiff flex zone.
Love the dinosaur jr in the background.

Cant comment on the black ops but you wont need anymore forgiveness than the Gen 7 XP.
@@ScratchAt50 thx for your response i just may go with the GEN 7 XP
Those are some great numbers. Are you going to order them? That's the question. Was it enough to move the needle for you to buy them.

@@ScratchAt50 I feel ya there. Our season over here is winding down as you're very well aware of.
Also 0317t may be up for an update soon is my guess
@suprand
The gen 6 version was very good and a lot cheaper 🤔

I could never understand them putting you in Elevate 95 Reg last time ? Stiff yes but not reg flex.

Fitting is an art form. I’ve been fit badly by so many so called experts. Find someone who has experience. It’s not purely just optimal numbers.
Agree.
Larry was very good.
