Great review! I just got fitted a few weeks ago, started with the Gen 7 XP’s and ended up with the regular P’s fitting a little better. So far I’ve only got the new Black Ops driver, 4W, 3hy, and 4hy, will order the irons in the spring after my bank account recovers! 😂
I have the XP irons. Love them, the fitting we tried the MMT shafts, but I did better with steel shafts. Plenty accurate if my swing is good. And long. Oh, and I saw at the end you played Pumpkin Ridge. I’m in West Linn. Got fitted at Envision with Ben.
Good review. I suspect the distant change is down to loft. The PXG is effectively a 7 iron in your old clubs. But the forgiveness is clear with the PXG.
my story is similar to yours I went ahead and went with the GEN six just to save a few bucks as I was hitting GEN seven and GEN six the same LOVE my black ops driver 3w and 7w!!
going to go with the GEN 7 XP in chrome 6 - PW , GW 252 ( canadian ) 176 ( US ) per club do the ( LUCKY 7 Package Heros price 217 canadian or 152 US per club) not bad cheers
Not to mention PXG irons are generally a half inch longer. So basically an 8 is his old 7. But if it makes you feel better and or play better go for it. And this comes from a person that play 0311p irons.
@golfaddict65 I have played several rounds with both. 68 yrs old, 86mph driver speed, and a truly bad back issues. Graphite shafts were a must. Both share forgiveness and distance. XP irons are longer and have a better feel on more delicate shots. I was surprised that BO’s felt as good as they did. If you can handle the $$ the XP with steel fiber shafts are amazing. They have deals all the time and the other club from PXG to try is the Sugar Daddy lll wedges!!! Hope this helps.
@@markeister8518 Question for ya what about the GEN 6 ? i can get them for the same price as the black ops you think thats a better choice the GEN 6 that is ? thx
As usual, a straightforward and objective review. Good job!

Nice video Sean. Hope you let us know how they are holding up after another few months.

Which Mizuno?
4 degrees stronger and I'd guess more upright lie angle also.

If you decide you don’t want to keep them I would like them
Did you pay for these irons yourself? Feels like you got a freebie and just promoting PXG in this video.
